If your relocation is based on your profession, and your profession is the gaming industry, then Reno is fine, if you're a student at Nevada State, you'll love Reno on the weekends; plenty of off-campus affordable housing available...Lake Tahoe area is definately where you want to reside, there's nothing like it..Sparks is a virtual boomtown (from 35k to 100k since 1996)
I spent 4 years in the area 16 years ago, my most memorable social time was spent in Truckee Ca. (just outside of Reno) a lot of friends, a lot of comfortable places to 'hang'
make the best of it, remember, it's nowhere near any standards of LV, but it's not suppose to be, so who cares.
