Progressive Insurance Snapshot

Don't fall for this BS.

I wanted to see if there was an alternative to my GEICO pricing.

So I switched to Progressive and wanted to take advantage of every discount available.  Snapshot is a device that you plug in under your dashboard.  It measures miles driven, timed traveled, maximum speed, hard braking, etc.

The very first trip I went around the block to do some shopping.  Drove like an old lady on the way to church.  It registered a "hard braking" incident.  Completely ridiculous. 

Wifey takes her car out and got two hard braking incidents.

Apparently if your speed reduces 7mph or more in one second then a "hard braking" incident is recorded.  So if an azzhole cuts you off and you have to brake then "it's your fault" for hard breaking.  If a kid runs into the road and you have to stop quickly "it's your fault" because you prevented a death.

Google "progressive insurance class action lawsuit" and you'll be astounded at the BS these scumbags have pulled on their own customers.

My own fault.  Should have done more extensive research before I switched insurance carriers.

any company that spends a ton on ads is usually a joke.

 I hate insurance companies.........I'm fortunate to not have had to use mine, but I've heard some nightmare stories. A buddy got t-boned in an intersection.....other guy ran a stop sign & it wasn't a 4-way stop. Plainly not his fault & there were witnesses. Fortunately, he wasn't hurt. The opposing insurance co. tried to assess 25% of the blame on my buddy. It took months, up until he started legal proceedings, before they finally settled.

I had Progressive and 1 night I had a run-in with a drunken whitetail.Well Progressive said thank-you very much and heres a check and we don't want to ever Insure you again.I don't like self-described progressive Co.,I don't like NPR(National Progressive Radio),PBS(Progressive Broadcast System)and Hillary loves being called a Progressive(enough said). Along with the Progressive Income Tax,every one of them thinks it knows better then You and wants your $.

Insurance is the only thing you buy but hope to never use.

Just think about that a minute.

If you're a small business owner, property owner, home owner, multiple auto driver, you will easily spend $50K each year on insurance.

And in the end these Corporate Fukks will fight you over every dollar. 



 

Really? That's how it works?

I use dairy land, my agent recommended it for low as possible rates to cover Maine's mandatory insurance requirements. I pay 35-40 a month for liability and comprehension, if i add collision to this it goes up to 60 I have driven 26 years without an at fault accident, so every penny i gave these people over the years they have.

I stuck it to State Farm pretty good. They dropped me and had to get Progressive. Took the snapshot but never installed it. Thank god after reading this.

Just lol at you for falling for that scam. A dash cam is enough for me. I have Progressive too btw.
