Marriage for green card

Question

A friend of mine has been approached by a coworker about a friend of his wife's who needs to get a green card. South American woman, fairly attractive and has some cash to make this process work.

Anyone familiar with this? What should one expect.

From what I gather it's as simple as going to the court house, filing paperwork with immigration, then having interviews with the agents, then later on a divorce. That's the part that is the most discomforting.

Not only are you risking criminal prosecution for what is essentially human trafficking, but also, if you do happen to go thru with it, how can you be sure to protect your assets.

That is uncivilized behavior. We have laws. The illegal immigrants do not respect laws and think they are above them. They do this for money, not to contribute to this society, but to take what they think is owed to them. She will immediately file for unemployment benefits and get at the system. She will likely start to sponsor her relatives, and they will flood in and multiply as they sponsor their "relatives." Many of them are cowards that escape the problems of their own country--rather then stay and fight to overthrow the crooked politicians in their homeland and do the world a favor. They have never bothered to learn English or study our history. They are money grabbers and opportunists.

Mexico has more oil than we do--tons more--they have two coast lines, they have tourism money we could only dream about from Veracruz and Acapulco...and they have umpteen millions of Mexicans who send back money to relatives, taking away $$$ from our system by the way. Many don't pay taxes, they are uneducated, and don't speak proper Spanish, and speak broken Spanish and English. They do manual labor in exchange for dolares dolares y dolares. This is everything to them--the dollar.

Don't get involved in a false marriage for dollars--youre playing their game.

You can get a prenup but I think your above statement says all he needs to know. "criminal prosecution" is it worth it? And I'd imagine the immigration department isn't going to be a piece of cake to get a fake marriage through nowadays with all the scrutiny.
