anyone watch this show? pretty amazing, the stuff that the guy tries to eat, like a 72 ounce steak in 60 minutes. he travels to different spots to take on the local eating challenge.
what is the most food you have ever eaten?
i once bet a guy that he couldnt eat 15 McDonalds cheese burgers in 30 minutes, he did manage to eat 12 of them, pretty impressive i thought.

Just seen the previews last night for this show. You must have been watching WPT poker last night? Only time I have ever watched the travel channel is when poker is on and last night was the first time I seen this show. Looks pretty cool.

I saw an episode of this show just a few days ago - this guy was in Memphis TN at a few restraunts cking stuff out ( I think he also went to the Barbeque/Rib Place Rendezvous ) He cks out some local well known type food in the area and then goes to one restraunt for a showdown against a huge portion of food.
He ate something called the Bigfoot Burger - it was f***ing insane.
7 lbs of premium hamburger -, total of 1 pound of bread for the top and bottom portion on the bun, 8 slices of cheese, a whole tomato, a whole onion, and a bunch of lettuce.
The challenge at this restraunt - to eat this thing in less than 60 min.
Only 4 people have ever done it- they have their pics on the wall of the restaunt.
Needless to say the guy only ate 3/4s of it before he had to quit.
Its a pretty cool show Im going to watch more episodes - its on the Travel channel.
I think this week he goes to Cleveland and Pittsburgh for back 2 back episodes.
Biggest thing I ever ate was the 1 pound moster burger at CheeBurger Cheeburger here in SW FL on Sanibel Island.
Pretty similar to what that guy ate but only 1 pound of meat not 7lbs!!

One other thing I just remebered - in Philly they have whats called the Wingbowl each year sponsored by a local radio station WIP.
The Wingbowl is basically a contest to eat as many wings as possible I think in like 12 mins.
The hot dog eating champ - Joey Chestnut won this thing last year.
The radio station WIP holds qualifiers for people to get a spot to try and compete in the contest. They have these guys do all kinds of eating contests to get in.
One guy tried to eat the entire McDonals dollar meal in like 4 mins or something - and did it . People try to eat all this crazy stuff and fast - and then a lot of people cant do it and end up yacking.
The Wing Bowl is in January 2009 right before the Superbowl I think

Even though I am a Vegan and eat none of the stuff this guy eats I watch the show. Its kind of entertaning to watch him try to eat and win those challenges.
That 72oz steak in Amarillo was ridiculous.
I thought he was going to get through the burger but I was wrong.
