Did the kids act perfectly? Not perfectly as is required during any law enforcement interaction. But they are, as said repeatedly by them, AT A POOL PARTY FOLKS.

And in typical GD closet bigot fashion, any excuse will be made for the cops behavior (even if it resulted in a shooting which of course this forum has little problem with when they deem black life largely worthless).

Ironically, the kid filming the entire thing is white. Of course, he gets a mild reprimand (surprise) and, to his credit, courageously continues filming.

Now please, will someone post black pregnancy rates for teens to counter this? We need those stats ASAP!

i just saw this.  here's the quote from the white guy who filmed it:

Everyone who was getting put on the ground was black, Mexican, Arabic,” he said. “[The cop] didn’t even look at me. It was kind of like I was invisible.”

and when you say the kids didn't act perfectly, i suppose that's true and this is something the people who worship our government don't understand, but the cops have no authority to order people around unless there is specific evidence they are involved in criminal activity or there is specific evidence there is a police safety issue. 

now, i'm not sure what led to this fiasco but it would be nice if people weren't so blindly in love with our government and might give the people the benefit of the doubt sometimes. 

It didn't look like a black community to me. 

I'm curious to know who called the cops and what was their reason for calling the cops in.

You notice how none of the kids that got on the ground when they were asked didn't get thrown around, even after running originally. All the b*tch had to do was leave and shut her mouth! but Nahhh that would be too easy. Then you have 2 guys running up on him like that, yea that was smart.

As for that cop.....   he's out of line from what is shown on camera.   The first cop is talking to the group of (black) kids and that seems calm and civil...  then psycho cop comes in and does that roll and loses it.   He'll probably get suspended, which is deserved.   

i'm sure we'll never know what brought the cops there.  some comment says 200 kids crashed the party.  the video certainly doesn't show anywhere near that number but who knows.  another quote from the article says adults making racist comments to black kids promoted a fight that resulted in cops being called.  who knows?

but, cops cannot arrest people without a specific indication of criminal activity or a specific threat to the cop.  the cop certainly can't pull his gun on teenagers in bathing suits without a legal reason.  this cop did both.

Club, I'm dying laughing at your 'Supertrooper' barrel roll comment. It was a sight to behold, wasn't it.

If what BWS said is accurate in post #7 then we do know what brought the cops there. The adults at the party, aka the homeowner and the invited guests, were the ones that called the cops.

Corporal Eric Casebolt  has been placed on administrative leave while his department investigates his actions in a video that shows him violently detaining a 14-year-old black girl and pointing his gun at another unarmed teen at a public pool party.

so in other words, we don't know.  all we know is what's in the video and there are at least two things i can't understand.  why the cop pulled his gun out and most importantly, the barrel roll. 

not trying to argue with you.  of course it's very possible kids crashed this pool party and someone felt the need to call the cops.  or maybe people overreacted and called the cops.  who knows.  but barrel rolling into a teenage pool party situation and pulling guns don't seem like the best ways to handle the situation.
