Today Senator John McCain passed after a long battle with brain cancer. He was 81 years old. He was a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a POW during the Vietnam War, considered by many as a war hero. Regardless of your party affiliation you have to agree he served his country beyond what most others have. RIP Senator McCain.

Guy was a POW in 'Nam, and spent time in a Tiger cage (Google that, kids), then decided to go into politics. Wasn't afraid to look at both sides, and vote both sides as he saw fit. Hence, he was called a 'maverick'
