Happened to catch and record The U. S. Vs John Lennon on Audhd DTV channel 71 last night. Go find it on whatever streaming option you use.

I went to the Memorial in Central Park with a girlfriend i was dating for about 8 weeks. She broke up with me a few days later. Guess she wasn't a Lennon fan. Or maybe it was the singing in Central Park  " All we are saying is give peace a chance"

Anyone have any comments on Lennon being an abusive husband and father?

Or how he lived lavishly and had servants, but told everyone else to do the opposite?

At some point in our lives, every last one of us will be a hypocrite and/or a liar. To many it's a daily occurrence.

Watching Monday Night Football (of course I had a Side) and Howard Cosell  broke in to say that John Lennon had been shot in the streets of NYC.

John Lennon was a poet but he wasn't really a musican and he and Paul wrote some great songs but his solo stuff lesser.

John Lennon gets my respect because he knew EXACTLY what he wanted out of life at a very young age.  More importantly, HE WENT OUT AND TOOK IT.

Jealous feeble fools like Richard Nixon could only cower in awe as John Lennon commanded the attention of the entire world.  

There is something about a Rebel that touches everyone's soul.

If John Lennon lived into his old age, he would have likely had the life similar to Leonard Cohen, but with more papparazzi and media coverage...but in the end, both guys were similar artists.
