This kidnapping took place less than 15 min away from my house...how can they let these plea deals happen?! I know he probably won't last in prison, but who knows if part of the deal was solidarity confinement? 

Very disturbing.  At least the family can finally get some closure.  

They allow these plea deals because it saves the family from the agony of a long trial, saves the prosecutors work, and saves the State expenses.

The end result is the family gets closure and the SOB gets 20 years.

It's aggravating but it's finally over.
