In an annoying spot

I'm fairly new here to covers and much like the rest of you(as it seems) I love to gamble. However for some reason this fall I have been in the most annoying situation ever. I cannot seem to reach my payout. Now being that I am a college student with minimal money I take smaller bets but love when those big parlays hit. My question for you is what is your best advice for reaching the payout instead of just plateauing right at about half of the bookies payout.

I agree. Stay away from parlays. They are statistically the worst bet to make. 

Stick with smart, though out straight bets, whether it be ML, spread, or total. 

Don't 1. make bets just to make them and 2. don't bet on a whim.
