I got SO Lucky with the Giant Black Crappie!

Crappie is such good eating, my buddies dad slays them where he ice fishes.

Visited Lake Okeechobee 5 times in my life & it's huge. I would seriously suggest getting a guide for your 1st trip there.

We fished soley for largemouth bass with lake caught wild shiners using stale bread to net them. The wild shiners stay alive longer than those those bought at a tackle shop. The same goes for the minows used in the video. Two or three tosses of the net will usually get you all the bait needed for a day.

There are reports of people catching 7 to 10+ lb bass but I've never caught one more than 5 lbs. Haven't been back in 20+ years.

It's a great family trip & don't be surprised to see a gator or two as well as some absolutely beautiful birds. Mosquitos can be a pain in the ass in the early morning. So you need to prepare for them as well.

Another great video Freddie!
