How would Trump's ban on Muslims entering the US work? Your passport does not state your religion...

Just read tonight that Trump is easing off on the idea of banning all Muslims from entering the US however how would that even work? Your passport doesn't state your religion and it's not like a potential radical Muslim couldn't just shave off the beard,trim the eyebrows and claim he is Christian or person.

I can understand banning a specific nationality but even then you could get a potential radical Muslim from Sweden, Who shaves off the beard, Looks like Ross from friends instead of an isis member and claim to be a Kurdish Swedish Christian.

I'm not sure how this would possibly work? You could even end up banning actual non Muslims from countries such as Iran and Lebanon because of suspicions of their actual religions, There are many person and Christians in Arab countries.
