The answers to your question will differ greatly based upon ones definition of "change", as much as ones need of the money.

My answer would be somewhere north of 5 million.
I don't think anything less changes the way I live my life

10 million usd in small unmarked older than 2008 currency should do it.

You see those multi-multi-millionaire celebrities like Nicholas Cage & Wesley Snipes who have gone completely bankrupt by doing and buying stupid sh!t?
Yeah, that would be me..... I'm better off where I'm at now which is a good job, doing O.K., and building up a decent savings and 401k. Anything above that for my degenerate a$$ would just be trouble.

prob close to half million so i could retire(now) in comfort...but i may retire within 2 yrs anyway//// with or without the half million...
