What up guys. First off, if you ever saw the film "Poolhall Junkies" then you know this trick. But I recently saw the film and got a great opportunity to actually put what I learned to use.
Last Saturday, I went with two friends to meet our old school friend who lives in NYC. We went to a sushi bar, open bar and all u can eat sushi, and it was one of those times where everyone brought a friend or two and they brought a friend or two...we had 20ish ppl in all.
Were gettin pitchers of beer and shots of saki all nite, and im drinkin a glass of beer and i started talking to this kid who was a friend of a friend and hes goin on and on about how he can take shots like a champ.
So I tell him I bet I can finish a full glass of beer before he can finish two saki shots. He says no way. I say that what I do is chug a half glass of beer, get my throat open, and then I can chug one full glass insanely fast. He says he still thinks he can finish two small shots before me. People start to see what is coming to form, and it ends up that everyone is watching and we each put a benjamin on the table.
I say, just so you know there are two rules, one is that you cant start until i finish my first half-glass and slam it on the table. Two is that you can't touch my cups, I can't touch your glasses He agrees without even thinking.
So I start and chug the half glass of beer, and slam it on the table. He then picks up his first shot glass. Immediately, I take my now empty first glass, and cover his second shot glass with it.
"remember rule number two bro, you can't touch my cups, I can't touch your glasses"
He tried to argue, but with 20 people there who heard me say the rule before the competition, he had to admit that he was played for a fool

movies are staged......you try that in real life you will probably get beat up. Great first impression you made. If I were you I would have given the money back and just left it at a good trick that got a few laughs.

if it was my friend-----> i give the money back and enjoy the laugh

In all fairness, I did spend the money on drinks for our group when we left that bar and went to others, so the whole group got a few drinks out of it. He has no right to be mad at me, dont hate the playa hate the game. He got playyyyed

You used a slimy approach to winning the bet. It is so completely different from slowplayin a poker hand. so so so different. Do you really not see this? This is such poor form man.
