I think once it become common in America people would figure out who should be topless.  Sure, there is always going to be people that won't get it like women that wear a two peice when they should be wearing a once piece with a cover up.   But I think because American society is based on this type of repression of exposure, when you ha e silly things like this, you have people that shouldn't be exposing themselves doing so. 

It's weird how on one end you have European society that is comfortable with the Freedom to have women show their bodies and then on the other side you have the Muslim theocratic/moralistic society that wants women to cover up. 

Then you have the American society that has the choice of the European Freedom vs Muslim theocratic/moralistic cover up and ironically between a choice of Freedom and theocratic/moralistic cover up, American society does not side with Freedom. 

But it is beyond that because Americans society embraces the cover up route it results in a women who shows a little cleavage or boobs being oogled and creeped out so they want to cover up.  If it became common place men would glance but then their eyes would be on to the next woman that isn't covered up. 

But perhaps you're right.  The problem is Christianity beginning with puritans and now the theocratic/moralistic Christians that seek to impose their religious beliefs on all society and do away with church and state. The theocratic/moralistic/religious influence works on many levels I guess. 

That will never change as long as there are Sportsfans running around in Kentucky.....
