One of the few radio sports shows i enjoy is espns mike &mike. I will miss the show when it is off the air.

your kidding right. I can tell you by listening to Boomer and Carton you either were purely entertained and like listening to bull crap from a guy who racks up gambling debts and is a bad gambler or you bought into the b.s. There is no way you should be listening to a guy like Carton and expect to win at sports gambling. At least with mike and mike I get updates on the sports and its legit talk even if I dont agree with their opinions. Some of the best guys on the radio are Mel kiper jr. and Paul Finebaum to get good information.

This was espn biggest cash-cow on the radio side,and was out performing some main platform TV programming. ESPN lucked into the format of "Odd Couple" pairing but later notice that everything on the radio side leaned to the 6-10 time slot.If 1 of the Mikes wasn't available they would raid the headliner of another later show to fill in.
Of course,something this successful couldn't be allowed to stand so they split it up when things got dicey across the vast plain of the World Wide Leader.

i'm an East Islip Alum class of '83. Boomer is the hardest working man in the sports broadcasting industry. i watch the cbs sports broadcast bc it keeps me in tune with my fellow new yorkers now that i live in vegas. he does us E.I. Redmen proud.
Greg Gianotti will be a better listen than Carton ever was. i just didn't like Carton much.
