Is the prize money sent out by covers in CAD or USD or pending on where you live? Thanks

A couple years back I had won $400 and they verified my PayPal and had the money in my account in just a few days.  Live in the USA so it was USD.  Assume it would be CAD if you lived there and don't know for certain but can tell you it was very fast.
