There's a clip in this documentary where Charlie Steiner (ex-ESPN anchor) said Tyson was 25-1 favorite.

That seems ludicrous. Can someone verify this? Did anyone drop money on Evander at these odds???

Tyson opened as a 25-1 favorite, but the odds went down to 6-1 by fight time.

Tyson had an aura about him that we will probably never see again. A lot of it got erased by his poor decision-making, but he was the Man for anyone too young to remember when Ali was dominant. Nobody every gave Larry Holmes any respect.

Wow, even at 6-1 that is tremendous.

Compare this to Pacman who was merely a 2-1 dog to Floyd in a fight he couldn't win.
