DEA moved all of them from schedule III to schedule II, which means felony and raises the street value of one pill to over 20 bucks.
As a result, the pill poppers can't afford that price so they now turn to heroin at a much cheaper price. Now we have a major inflow of smack on the streets.
DEA, what a bunch of stooges.. They created more violence and more trafficking with one sweep of a pen.
Guy I used to work for has a 10+ vicodin a day habit at 20,00 a pill.
Do the math.

He must be dealing or he has the fortitude to maintain a 50an hour job using half his pay to maintain his vice. But the alternative is a death sentence. I never take any pain pills never. until last year ( pinched nerve , unbearable ) emergency room twice . 1st time Dr told me to take 1 every 4 hr ....2nd time Dr. told me to take 2 ever 4 hr...Vicodin 
..loved it , sat on my couch for two weeks watching TV and rubbing my nose like a Junkie...
great stuff , until you gotta go #2 its like having a Baby 
. I could see how easy it would be to get hooked , run out of pills . hit the street and do what ever it takes to get more...and that's just Puss#y Vicodin , Oxy and others ufff .

He receives them by the hundreds via Fed Ex from a dealer here in California. The dealer is hooked up with a pharmacist that nobody knows. Just a matter of time before one of two things happen. DEA intercepts a package and 3-5 years minimum in state, or he doesn't wake up one morning.
America has an outrageous appetite for drugs and it'll never stop. Billions of dollars in revenue for the US govt in cash and asset seizures.

They can make look alike pills. It as simple as designing a tray filling it with the liquid pressing the number signature heat for solidifiication it might not be assumed that he is actually getting a pharmacuteticul2 pill this destructive business is so lucrative that know one actually knows anything for the entire black market structure . I watched a lot of friends succumb to the ease of fortunes or fix in distributing bunk garbage. But to me it's their vice their business till some hope of a child becomes a statistic it never really hits home.
