Betting Parlays

The thrill of hitting a great pay out on a parlay keeps me betting. Recently though they haven't been panning out.  Missing 4 teamers by 1 team or the very last team I need to cover/win costs me the bet. 

I just wanted to get some feed back on how others make some pretty some pretty decent money on their bets.  For example for today's NCAA games I had:

SC +6.5
UNC -4.5
UNC U 153

I cant stand the thought of betting huge on 1 game then having to swallow the loss.  As apposed to betting 20 bucks on a 4 team parlay to payout 240 for example.

Any feedback on how some of you guys bet would be helpful to myself and my pockets!

If you are truly looking for help for your pockets ... don't bet parlays.

Sage advice here. You are better off playing all games as separate, straight bets for the same amount.

Actually yes 

Let's say you bet 5 teamers that pay just over 23/1 based on each  selection  being -110 , you should also play 5 x 4 teamers as a saver for an equal amount as the 5 teamers 
A 4 team parlay pays just over 12/1 
If anything reduce the amount bet on the 5 teamers as a 4 teamers has a greater chance of hitting obviously
And if you hit all 5 plays on the day you have 6 winning parlays 

But bear in mind single plays are the safest option, if you can't take a 200 loss as you mentioned then reduce your unit size so it doesn't bother you if you go 0-3 on a particular day.

hit a 4 teamer last night to win 11k. my friend noticed the bookies odds on the website were facked up for parlay max payouts. it shouldve paid double that. I was happy with the 11k but that was kind of annoying to realize
