Right up there with Jim Carrey as the most overrated comedic actors. They are often so unfunny that it makes me cringe watching them.  

They give him way too much control on the set. He was ferry funny all the way up to waterboy, then just tailed off. And now he makes himself a huge ladies man in all his roles. Too full of himself and tries too hard

Jim Carrey is an amazing actor and is hilarious. 

Aside from Happy Gilmore which still makes me laugh like a lunatic, I've never really been a fan of Adam Sandler.

This site does a weekly Movie Jail section which is a pretty good read. Some others that they have had on trial so far are Val Kilmer, Ben Stiller, Michael Bay, Jim Carrey, and Vince Vaughn, definitely worth a look.

never made me laugh, horribly overrated

I put Will Ferrell on the top of that list,I don't find him funny at all. Everyone else does,but he just doesn't do it for me.

Waterboy was also some good H2O

Agree about Carey but Dumb and Dumber was funny. But that was it. Back when he was on TV (living color?) he was great as Fire Marshall Bill.

fire marshall bill skits were funny cause they were short, just like sandlers SNL stuff, farley/spade. dana carvey church lady.  all funny but short, take that and make a movie out of it 1.5 hrs

all of these writers are running out of ideas.  look at all of the sequels lately. men in black 3? it took what 10 years for that one, saw 7?  paranormal #?

i dont know of any part 2 or 3....of sandler movies off top of my head.  he remade longest yard but it wasnt as bad as taken 2.
