2-28-19 tech deal of the day, mesh Wi-Fi in your home

Just a fantastic deal here, a 3-pack to cover 5,000 sq feet.  I install mesh Wi-Fi multiple times a week with great results.  Usually I use Google mesh, but this is just too good of a deal to pass up.

So what is the hook on "mesh" that makes it worth that kind of money vs just a decent router for home use?

Pretty much 100% coverage in all parts of the house. The mesh units will get a signal from each other and amplify it.  With the "decent" routers the further away you are from the router the worse the signal is.  If you have a smaller area  to cover then one of the better routers will give you enough coverage.

Mesh router worked very well for me. In addition to what Lippsman said, they use 2 different frequencies which helps if you live in area where there is a lot of interference from other people's routers, microwaves, etc.

Interesting, I hadnt run into this type of product before, so it connects to a modem with one then has hubs to focus strength to an area vs one central router?

I noticed on Amazon this one isnt as highly rated as the google one or TP link etc but the price for sure is solid!

Remember that deal ends tonight
