We've had several lengthy discussions over the years on this subject. The most memorable Thread in my mind belonged to Vansack. Hit the magic 53% winning rate and you're in the Hall of Fame. Hitting at 52% just makes you another loser. That's the way it goes.

i have hit 65% one season in college basketball before. I would like to hit 70%. I think its possible choosing point spreads. Case in point you could hit 100% of your bets if you really wanted to. Just be very selective in your bets if you bet just one game in one sport a year and win that would be 100%. Too many people get into betting too many games or not managing the money right.

That's exactly the idea. There are things you CAN control and things you CAN'T. Number of quality wagers like you mentioned. The units or size of you wager is another. You can lose two $100 wagers and win one $250 wager. You'll be 33% with a positive bankroll. Nobody will ever convince me that Flat Betting is the only way to ride.

I'm pretty sure you couldn't hit water if you fell off of a boat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.....
