Basically we made in game live bets on Jets +10.5 after the Jets get within 5 and before they kicked off, but Bodog waits until after the game to cancel the bet saying betting occurred during a play.
The problem is we have to take bodog's word on time, yet I was staring at the screen and bet in between the Jets TD and their kickoff. What plays did I miss? Why did they wait until they lost the bet? I think they screwed up the line, lost big and are trying to cover their tracks.
Does anyone know where I can get timestamps of the play by play to prove these jerks wrong?
Does anyone have the game on DVR? Can you tell me what time it was when the Jets kicked their extra point and when they kick off?

I emailed asking: "Can you tell me what play was happening when you say I made this bet. I was watching Live and there was no play going on."
They respond with: "Thank you for contacting Bodog Customer Service.
We understand your frustration regarding your Bodog Live Wager, reference number XXXXXX; however, the reason this wager was canceled is because the line was not removed when it should have been. The specific rule is in the 'Help' section. You you then click 'Sportsbook', 'Rules and Policies', 'Bodog Live Rules' and 'Rules Common to All Sports':
#4. All lines determined to have been available past post will be settled "No Action".
Should you wish to discuss this matter further, we kindly ask that you contact our Customer Service at the number below.
Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us."
Are they refusing to tell me what play I bet during or are they confirming they had a bad line and don't want to pay?

I responded with "So it wasn't an issue of a play happening but you made a mistake with the lines?"
And received this:"Dear Mr. Francis,
Thank you for contacting Bodog Customer Service.
In regards to your inquiry, the line you wagered on was considered past-post and as such as subject to rule 4 under our Live Betting policies. As we have discussed at length, should you wish to discuss this matter further, we kindly ask that you contact us at the number below to speak to a supervisor.

I guess you guys are right. I just don't like giving up without a fight.

I talked to 3 customer services and all they can do is give you the run-around. So, I demanded to see in email form: the protocol they follow to determine when the play was over when, in fact, their live-betting was still open.
There is no use to argue with these customer rep or the supervisor. They can't do shit for you. So, I asked to speak to someone higher and their response was they aren't available to talk to me. How shitty is that?
BodogBecky is an amateur. She would tell you to read the rules on their website, which is in their win-win discretion. But, does not explain the full process how they determined the play was over versus when their live-betting is still available.

I have made some progress via email. This is their latest response:
In reference to your Single, Wager #203040666, this was cancelled due to a time stamp error. Please note that the Touch Down was made at 9:35p ET however, you placed your bet at 9:37p ET. As a Customer Service gesture we have issued you a Free Bet Bonus of $20, this bonus can be found by clicking on "Manage Account" and then "Sports Bonuses". You will be required to Opt In to active the bonus. We kindly ask that you please accept our apologizes for any inconvenience caused with this wager.
Basically I did not bet during a play. They released a line they did not update.
During live play, when the game comes back from a break, all bets are locked. After the game heads to commercial, the lines usually adjust and then moments later are reopened for betting.
My take from the statement above is that they never readjusted the lines after the touchdown and just unlocked it for betting.
I understand how that is bad for them, but that is not a timestamp error. That is a I fucked up error. They have procedures in place to prevent this. I am not concerned with whether they liked their line. If they have lines locked and I go check the new ones during a break and put my money on the line and it is accepted by them, that is a bet, whether they regret it or not.
I can't tell you how many times their lines will change when you get to the review bet screen and I accept those, but they let the line sit there for a few minutes and took the bet back after the game. Not because they were made during action, but because someone there wasn't doing their job.

Dang, now I put my bet number in there lol. Any way I can edit these out of old posts? I'd rather them not know it's me, but i guess it doesn't matter. I just don't see an edit post icon anywhere.

It is tough to fight any of them over bets or payouts. have to remember these sites are not regulated (poker sites too). they can decide not to pay you and there is nothing you can do about it.

I replied to the original thread mentioned in the OP with the below:
Ok, apologies for the confusion and bodog.com apologizes for this whole
incident. I have spoken with bodog.com and here is what happened in
this particular situation:
The
line wasn’t correctly taken off the board after the Jets scored the
touchdown late in the 4th quarter. The touchdown occurred at 9.35pm yet
customers could still wager the Jets at +11.5 after it was scored which
is obviously a bad line as they were only down by 5 points (Pittsburgh
24 Jets 19). We canceled every wager on the game after 9.35pm including
those on Steelers -11.5. The game was not available for betting after
this incident. There
was simply not enough time to go through and cancel all of the wagers
and inform customers as this was at the 2 minute mark. No matter what
the final result had been all wagers would have been canceled and we
would not have let them stand even if Pittsburgh had somehow
miraculously covered.
Also, I am the Global Brand Ambassador for BodogBrand.com and an On-Site Reporter for CalvinAyre.com. In my BodogBrand.com role I am in close touch with the bodog brand licensees and I speak with them directly to get answers for you. If you do not want my assistance that is fine, but I am available to get you answers quickly if CS is unable to help to your satisfaction.

If I hit the wrong button when making a play on Bodog, I don't get a second chance. The bet is made. I am bound to honor that bet even though I had no intention of making it.
But those rules do not apply to the shady little company beyond U.S. jurisdiction.
If the government really wanted to protect us they would allow us to do business with reputable people within our own borders. But I digress. Bodog sucks.

Here, let me translate...
I am a worthless schill for Bodog. Not only do I have no pull, I really dont care about your error. We are so big that if we lose your business over our shady practices it does not really matter.
Yes, we offer Live Betting. Yes, you won your live bet. Yes, you beat the book. But no, you are not getting paid. We have rules in place that say, no matter what, even if we lose, we dont have to pay.

I own a business, if anyone I work with or anyone who works for me came with a line like 'If you do not want my assistance fine' I would show them the fucking door. If you are representing a company you should know the basics of PR, sweetheart, and you are making some serious mistakes putting something that moronic in writing.

awful book and I've read other peoples threads on SBR where bodog has threatened to report them to credit agencies like equifax and transunion over a 50 dollar debt that wasnt even their fault but caused by bodog. What kind of book threatens to hurt customers credit score over their own error

I'm going to give you my humble response, Becky.
Overall, I placed $550 @-150 to win $400. The wagers were won, but cancelled due to Bodog's negligence. I wish you can be of assistance and get my $400 back.
In all honesty, can you? Ask yourself that question.
All of us here at Covers have doubts (that you cannot). I have my questions already answered by your customer service, supervisor, sports manager. But what do I get out of it? Nothing.
They gave me $100 bonus to shut me up, mind you, with 3X rollover. And it's my first bonus in over a year and a half, after being a customer of theirs for 5+ years.
If you are really close to the upper management. I hope you set the table straight and get someone in your live-betting department FIRED.

Man....you are wasting your time. Becky is a schill. She can get nothing done.
Although I am sure we would love for her to prove otherwise, but she wont.
Its the same boat as the poster above - numbersbuster. He can make an error and still have to pay, but if Bodog makes an error?

And, you are right. Indeed. I am wasting my time to prove a point that leads to no fighting chance. That is why I will limit myself actions in this book versus the other 4.
Not only will Bodog loses integrity, but they will lose faith from every one of their customers that read this post.
