Anyone ever hit a royal flush playing video poker on offshores?

I've played maybe 5,000 hands in online casinos, and I haven't hit.  I know that's not enough hands to judge, but I'm curious if anyone has any insight on the fairness of the dealing.

Mind you, I'm not talking about online table poker against others.  The house has no interest in preventing royal flushes there, because it's player vs player.  I'm talking about classic video poker - Jacks or Better, Deuces Wild, Joker Poker, etc.

In my experience, the dealing seems pretty fair, but what's to stop them from cheating you out of royals?  Who would ever know?  Who has oversight on them?  If you're playing with a British or Australian outfit, I suppose maybe you can expect some legal assurance of fair deals, but outside of those, good luck.

Just curious - any interesting offshore video poker experiences?

Hit a Straight Flush playing Caribbean Poker at 5Dimes. A-2-3-4-5 of Spades.  Paid 10% of the Progressive Jackpot (just under $10K).

rob, golden, what's your overall take on the casinos...i wanna join bookmaker for the casino and a little sports...i've got a local for sports...i just wanna have a little fun....

I have never had a decent winning session at Bookmaker Casino.  It's a great site overall for Sports but I don't like the Casino at all.

I play Blackjack and Video Poker at Heritage when I am bored.  Been very consistent and I think Heritage has got to be one of the fairest online Casinos.

I'd go with Heritage.  JMHO.

I have hit 4 royal flushes since November mostly at the Pinnacle sports book casino.  They are one of the few online casinos that allow the maximum bet of 5 coins with nickles (25 cents a spin).  The RF pays $200 per hit.  It is fun and won't break the bank even if you go for long stretches between RFs.

hit a royal flush at 5 dimes just a couple months ago playing .25 jacks or better and playing 5 coins. Pd 1000.00 and withdrew with no problem,was in my hands in 3 days.  Only one I have hit so far

thanks rob and golden and others for your reply...golden, I couldn't get on heritage for free play to check out their site..didn't realize they take us customers...did a little research and they use betsoft software which has excellent graphics..i mostly play roulette and the graphics are outstanding..same as betonline where I played for free just to check it out...bookmaker is god awful for graphics but I'm gonna give them a try..they seem to be a reputable book and I like their debit card withdrawal...if I make money to play with, I might throw a few bucks into heritage...I heard a couple good things about them...sorry for the long the long winded reply...thanks again

It actually depends mostly on the software to be honest. Betsoft is pretty good, however the operators can change the payout percentage just like RealTimeGaming software, DGS and AmigoTechs less appealing software seems way more out of date and in my opinion avoid. Softswiss is an upcomer in the Bitcoin realm they too have a payout percentage that can be manipulated in ways only a thief could find justification. Just my opinion.

Well, I have finally hit a royal on 5dimes.  Yes, it happens.

I've also had video poker sessions where I pressed my bets.  One time I went nuts and was up to $25 bets.  I hit a straight flush with $25 bet.  If they weren't dealing fair, I would think they would take away high hands when you have a max bet.  So, I conclude the video poker on 5dimes is truly fair.

Hit 3 RFs within 2 week period back in early May and 2 RFs within 11 hours in early July (and 2-3 more scattered in between).  But then I had a 4 month period with no RFs.  Depends almost totally on good or bad luck other than basic strategy.  Very exciting when it hits totally out of the blue with no warning.  Play at Pinnacle for about an hour/day.
