Pop up box driving me crazy

Is there a way to turn off that annoying pop "story" box that blocks the lower right hand corner of my screen every time I drill into a game on the NCAAB "Scores and Matchups" page?  X-ing it out does nothing.  Clicking on it and opening another window does nothing.  The more you click on it, the more new windows open up.  It keeps appearing on every page.  It's relentless.
