wagerfund - Thats what i've read also. I didn't say otherwise.
Taylor Mays and K. Ellison are 5 times better than OSU' Coleman and Russell, i'd say.

While I do agree with you on the secondary of the Trojans, I disagree with size and speed doesnt matyter..I fyou have been the biggest and strongest, or the fastest and most aggresive ,on the field on saturday ,then when you face someone who is just as big or just as fast you will have problems executing..I think USC young O line is still suspect..Sanchez hasent had to deal with a D like Ohio States ever..And I think the young talent on O for the Buckeyes has NEVER seen a D as agressive and fast as USC's..I think Size ans Speed if a factor, maybe not to determine the whole outcome of a game, but it will be a factor..Lets not forget these are 2 reletivly young teams..Alot of 2year guys out year..GL thoiugh either way.

Really? I would have leaned UNDER because of the defenses, Ohio State likely wanting to grind it out and USC's youth on offense. But hell, I'm much better talking about college football then wagering it...LOL. Either way, best of luck.

Sorry man, the secondary of USC is scary. You have 2 safties who average 230 lbs and will be NFL guys. Pete Carroll says its the best secondary he's ever had.
Scary to think they have two safeties who average 230 lbs. OSU's? One guy is 188 lbs, the other 205 lbs. The more I think about it, the more I think Sanchez has a field day with OSU's secondary. God, I'm starting to think USC -10.5 is the play! I'll eventually talk myself into taking USC.

Uh, have you seen OSU play vs. Florida and LSU? Speed, speed, speed. Just because OSU is a big program doesn't mean they have a lot of speed. They recruit differently than say USC, UF, LSU. The SEC and Pac-10 loves speed.

I agree with you here. USC's receiver might have a field day against OSU's secondary. Just look at the size difference. I was shocked at the disparity.
And USC main weakness on defense is the d-line. The middle of the line is the weak part. Griffen will be an all-american, and better than Lawrence Jackson. But Spicer is questionable. He shows flashes of greatness. But he's not Ellis.

I'm a USC guy, but sorry, I just don't buy that USC is that much faster then OSU. We don't really have a speed burner at wide out beyond RoJo and you aren't going to consider him a track guy. McKnight has nice wheels but is no Bush in that department and beyond that their isn't a RB that will run away from you. Griffen on the D-Line is very quick and our LB's are very quick beyond Cushing who has average speed. Taylor Mays is actually our big speed guy and he is a safety. Honestly, you can't even say that our CB's are speed burners. The whole team can run, but their isn't a holy crap guy on the team that plays significant time.
As for OSU vs. LSU (LSU home game) and Florida (FLA D-line and Tebow blew up that game) the speed thing is just a general statement. Hell, that same Florida team that crushed OSU got beat by Michigan the following year in a bowl game. The combination of speed AND size kills..both teams have plenty of both.

yes and yes...

Who in the hell said this was USC's best team ever? Making shit up again to difflect a question lobbed your way?
And boy do people love to bring up the fact that USC lost to Stanford and Oregon, but crushed an Illini team who beat OSU. Hmmmm.......

I'm a Big 12 guy, surprise surprise, and haven't been impressed with OSU in the last 2 years. They play small tune up games, then run the table in the "BIG 10" which isn't very big this year, and everyone is creaming their jeans for them.
Admittedly they have good players at skill positions on both sides of the ball, but so does everyone else.
I'm definately not a USC kool-aid drinker, but IMO this is going to be over by half time. USC should absolutely destroy this team by 30+ points.
OSU is ranked 5 based on reputation only, not ability. They struggled against OHIO who lost to Wyoming by only 1 point. I was at that game in Laramie and OHIO wasn't that impressive. The punt return for a TD last week was in part due to a blatent block in the back, there were actually 2, that wasn't called. Had they called that penalty, there is a reasonable argument that OHIO mau have rallied to win.
I'm thinking the over at 43 and it's free money USC-10.5, all the way to the bank. For this weekend only, I'll be a USC fan!!!

I wouldn't be so sure. While I think it's very premature to say that this team is better or worse than the 2005 team (as they've only played one game), the depth of this 2008 team is much better than the 2005 team. Offensively, they have 5-6 receivers and rushers who can make plays for them. And I would venture to say that this defense is the best OVERALL TEAM defense they've put on the field since Pete Carroll has been there.
