First really big game since 2008? You are out of your flippin' mind. You are only saying that b/c it's convenient for you. It's only a big game if OU loses, right? You are full of it.
OK Susie...list the big games Stoops has won since 2008. And none of this regular season crap you like to talk about. I'm talking about games that mean something. Unless you want to talk about KState in Norman 3 weeks ago?

This has nothing to do about not closing but I remember last year when the Red Raiders went into Norman and had a 31-7 lead. Sure the Sooners made a rally but still came up short. The Red Raiders who were unranked won 41-38.

2008 - Big 12 Championship killed Missouri 62-21
2010 - Big 12 Championship beating Nebraska
I would say that is about it for them. However, if you want to talk regular season I would add: last year at Florida State win by ten. At Kansas State 58-17. 2010 at Oklahoma State win 47-41.

Didn't realize that was a big game at the time. It wasn't. And OU was playing crappy football back then. We aren't doing that anymore.
I would say it was a big game at the time considering the Wildcats were undefeated, conference game, ranked 15th, and first true test of the season being that Oklahoma played at UTEP, and home to Florida A&M. Kansas State got killed last year by the Sooners and would have loved to do the same in return.

I would say the Sooners are a lot like Florida State....someone says usually every year they can run the table but stumple against someone unpredictable along the way.

You're a fool. A complete idiot.
You try to narrow down what is a "big game" to fit what you want the answer to be. So "since 2008", and "no regular season games", huh?
Okay.
Not sure if I'm suppose to start in 2008, or after, so I'm going to include it.

If that is a big game, that early in the season, then I can list a LOT of big games OU has won over the years. 2008 against TT. You listed some others.

I disagree here on a couple of points. Yes, Oklahoma won a bowl game but tell me this. You're a season ticket holder and I am as well of the Spartans...not that these teams are no where near in the same sentence as each other...BUT would a true Sooner fan be happy that the Sooners won a bowl game against the Cardinal? Yeah probably...but NOT in the Sun Bowl. Same thing could be said about Iowa in the Insight Bowl. How can you list those two games but leave off a BCS Bowl win against UCONN? I didn't put that on my list because UCONN wasn't ranked.

That statement I made there was based off of this season alone. I took care of other years. All I'm saying is a team is ranked for a reason. Being a conference game should be huge regardless of who they're. Was the Texas Tech game last year a big game? If not, you might want to reconsider what you think or say about big games at home.

You are coming into this argument late, and behind.
Joe likes to bash Bob for the loss to Boise. If he is going to say that is a big game, then all bowl games are big games. Joe likes to reference bowl games.
My opinion? For a program like OU, no bowl game other than NC games, are big. They mean nothing. Since when did bowl games that weren't for NC's start meaning something? OU's players play all season for Big 12 Championships and a NC. Once those dreams are over, or achieved, of course there will be a let down. That is what you saw in all of those bowl games we lost against Boise and whomever else. Not the NC bowls, but the others.
To me, it's obvious what games are big at the time they are played. This ND game is big. UT is always big. TT in 2008 was big. KSU last year was big.
Yes, OU has lost some big games. But we've won WAY more (like, 2 to 1) than we've lost. That is impressive.

I'm not bashing the program at all. Just giving you my opinion on way you put some of those teams on the list...but you did because of Joe. That makes sense now.

He is a nut job, and most likely not even a Sooner fan. And if he is a Sooner fan, he is so old that his mind is gone.
Just a heads up. ;)

Yeah.....I spend a lot of time talking about Insight Bowl wins.
You just made my point for me dipstick.
Okay, so over that time we haven't won any big games (by your definition). Well, we haven't lost any either, so what the f*ck is your point? Truth is, you don't have a point. You are old, and senile, and simply talking trash about a program you don't support. Your argument is all over the place.
If you are going to bitch about losing to Boise, then you have to give credit for beating UCONN. You cannot have it both ways. You cannot say conference championship games aren't big games, and OU is something like 6-1 in those games.
Stop being a nut.

Sometimes good team and good coaches lose games. Sometimes they lose games they shouldn't lose.
Saban lost a bowl game to Utah. Saban would have lost a NC game to Mack Brown had the UT QB not gotten injured. Mack Brown. He is not a good coach, yet he put a team on the field that if healthy, would have beaten Saban.
IT HAPPENS. OU wins WAY more than they lose.

I would imagine your players are taking this game as lightly as the Oklahoma fans seems to be!
I can assure you the players are not.
And neither am I. You know how many top 10 teams have come to Norman undefeated, and left with a beat down? ND just doesn't match up. They aren't equipped to beat a team like OU. Against the Big 10, the Big East, even most of the PAC-12, fine. They match up okay. They do not match up with OU. If OU plays like they have the last three weeks, they cover easily.

Everybody on this board.....but you....recognizes the fact that Stoops has made it a practice of blowing big games. He takes big game talent and consistently underachieves with them. His pathetic record in big games speaks for itself.
I suspect most on this board would agree that he is no doubt the most "Overrated" coach in college football today.

A lot of people hate OU, b/c we win so much. Same reason people hate Bama. And LSU. And USC. And ND.
Why don't you give me a definition of "big games", but if it's anything other than NC games, Bob Stoops has won more of them then he has lost. But your definition keeps changing, everytime I prove you wrong. You can't be 45-19 against top 25 teams.....and 6-1 in conference championship games.....and lose more big games then you win. That is a clown comment.
