You are a man of respect and honor, that is the difference. If a person has to split pennies between 5 guys to get analysis on games and picks they should not be gambling to begin with, and instead should be concentrating on a career that can provide them financial stability.

Oh horseshit. First of all, it's gambling. The books, the bookies, and the touts are by and large rich, and they laugh at all the squares they profit from. By the way it is a long standing practice to split the cost of a tout multiple ways. Gambling is a hustle, a sleazy nasty hustle, one with 99 suckers and one laughing exploitive Ahole. I love gambling on college football but nobody but nobody is hustling me. I haven't put a deposit into a sports book in four years. Phuck those Aholes. Now our much beloved mega has turned tout. Good for him, good for the people that profit from him. If you treat touts as a group with respect and honor I am sorry pal, you have sucker written all over you.

I'm pretty sure Urban was referencing Mega in his post and not all touts in general...

Vile unsubstantiated garbage. How do you know all touts are rich? How do you know they laugh at their customers? What the heck is a hustle anyway? Why is it all nasty? Gambling is an industry like any other where lots of people sell a product and others buy it. Mega is a great guy and you endorse effectively ripping him off because of.... actually I don't know why. Basically you're saying it's gambling so I'm going to behave like a scumbag. Is this how you behave as a rule?

Someone come on with a proper justification and I'll listen. But not this

You have the "Right" view on this BookieAssassian. Boy do they move lines. I do not subscribe to them, but you can tell when the release picks on the line moves.

yep VJ......there's yet ANOTHER angle (weird one) that I have used in the past.......

Knowing WHEN the tout sheets come out.....who might like what
*Power Sweep / Pointwise / Playbook.....come out what Tuesday at noon > 2:00p or so ?.....that Dr Bob Thursday or Fri afternoon ?

When Steele used to do Power Sweep (might be still involved who knows / ain't gonna admit it)......let's say you were looking for a more favorable line on a Notre Dame opponent (he LOVES ND)....wait till Tuesday late....you're likely to get it
*I used to read PS all the time.....easy to predict what teams he was gonna like....Dog of the week was always $ > very easy to guess in advance too

Rhetorically, should I just give that back and show you how to do it for free?  Or should I expect to get paid for the knowledge I have developed and could impart to a willing protégé?

the funny part of it is that in order to learn how to fish, you have to stop holding out your hand... so $5,000 and 5 years is pretty cheap compared to those with their hands out forever.

I'm not a capper, just bet peanuts because I'm a degenerate gambler, and found Mega half-way through the season.  He dug me out of a 1100 hole and put me on a 700 plus side, until the bowls.  He had warnings, and I went too big too early and if I would have stayed disciplined wouldn't have lost most of my + money - BUT was so grateful that he got me out of that hole.

Have no problem with him charging.  He's not holding a gun to my head, and I feel his juice is worth the squeeze right now.

It's great how many of you share info on here, great community (even with all the hot air that floats around on here) but totally get if any of you don't wanna give away your milk for free anymore at some point.

I get the hate with touts, but I have been following Megalocks for years and I can tell he's a really good dude and from his writeups you can tell he really knows his stuff....I signed up for his site and I'm happy he's getting compensated for his hard work.

He offers subscribers a referral for signing up, so PM me if you're interested and I'll shoot you some more info and a link and am happy to split the referral with you.

I'm gonna put a call in to HotCarl and have him tell Mega we miss him

the funniest threads of all time, he would drop those one liners that had me spitting up coffee and literally laughing out loud at my computer, its very rare someone can make me laugh like that, Mega is a covers legend

If you dont wanna pay the money, I get it. Its because you dont think you need him or his picks. Maybe ya dont. Good for you. But when it really only cost you about $10 a week for not only solid picks but lots of info and funny readings you'd be silly not to buy in. Its GREAT college football stuff. $10 is barely juice on 1 $100 play....

If you cant afford that, then you should not only not become a subscriber, but you should not read this "free" site either. Go work a double at Burger King and save up some money so you can move out of your parents basement.

I am a newbie on the Covers.com site, but really appreciated your sharp information.  If Covers won't let you hip us to info we need to know how about broadcasting it via Twitter?  I don't even have a Twitter account, but would certainly set one up if you agreed to do this.  Thanks for all you do!"

Cortez a fricking hypocrite if I ever ran across one.

Fascinating...some people have a long memory.  I posted that three years ago and IT WAS SPECIFIC TO THE NFL.  Azzhole.  Indeed, it has cost me money to KNOW where I have an advantage.  My advantage is with college sports, not the NFL.

By the way dikk, I won the Bookmaker betting contest going 21 in a row.  Actually, going 26 in a row, but I only got PAID for my streak of 21.  Go look that up. Hypocrite?  Not quite.  Just a quiet winner who knows what to bet

Because I have always appreciated the time and effort MEGA put into helping this forum, and because of the way he handled all the bullchit from posters no matter how stupid the question they asked I donated to his new adventure as my way of saying thank you for his many contributions, and I hope many others do the same. I know he would be very appreciative of it, and the bottom line is he deserves any of the success that comes his way.

Hopefully he'll have a few of his infamous Crack Pipe Specials this season, those alone are worth the price of admission :)
