Maryland is going to have to get the running game going in order to win the game tonight. In both of their upsets over Boston College and Rutgers the Terps ran for 145 yards and 230 yards. Once the running game gets going Turner utilizes play action to draw the defense in and then spreads the ball out among 5 or 6 recievers. Maryland is great at moving the chains and controlling the clock.
Coach Friedgen has beat Tennessee, West Virginia, Purdue by an average of 26 points and given up only 17 in his most recent bowl game apperances. He is great at spotting weaknesses in teams and has had a long break to do so. Maryland is going to control this game and run the clock in order to secure themselves a Emerald Bowl win tonight over Oregon State.
