    Good thread

I see Ruben jacking up Upshaw on his way in and out of routes just for the fuck of it.

He's bigger this year than last year.

I agree with everything except LSU running... They are ranked 31st in the nation in rush offense, and Bama is ranked 1st in the nation in rush defense. LSU has not faced a front seven like this all season.

Hasn't LSU marched down the field every time they've had the ball last few weeks?

Last year, JJ was QB and you guys had 11 guys on the line of scrimmage on defense.  Can't do that this year with Lee QB.  Just can't leave Ruben alone.

If a 205lb WR does that to a 265lb LB, it will be a first... But good luck lol!

The LSU problem is stopping that Bama rush though.  I don't think LSU has a prayer of stopping that.............. Which is basically ball game.

But LSU has Bama at every other skill position on the field.  It's an intriguing matchup.

LSU can however go into man coverage all night.

When is last time Clairborne even allowed a reception?

Florida is ranked 40th, Tennessee 69th, and Auburn is ranked 89th against the run. So I would imagine pretty much any team could rush down the field on those teams.

Last year was a completely different Bama team, and LSU got some crazy plays in the 4th quarter to win that game. And as I said, I agree totally that Randal is gonna be a threat, and a problem at times.

RIvals has him at 205... ESPN has him at 208... I think those are pretty accurate. Even is he's 220, he's not gonna put a dent in a 260+ Courtney Upshaw, that is a complete joke.

Randle is past threat status.............. He's "put 2 guys on him at all times status"

    Instant game changer.

That being said.......... I can't pull trigger on LSU knowing that Bama can run on them tho.

No denying he is a BEAST! I am anxious to see how our WR's do against that secondary... The run has to take pressure off the pass, and our WR's have to find a way to get open.

Ridley won the game last year with effort.  LSU got a better OL this year to work with........... and a QB who can get guys off the line of scrimmage.

LSU gonna score more than you think they will.

But I can't bet against Trent and Bama OL.  Just hard to do.

However, I see LSU lighting up Bama tho.

The LSU RBs are getting tougher.  Ware turned into a man few weeks ago.  Dude don't quit.  And the freshman dump truck Hilliard ain't easy to get down either.  Had 12 on his first carry.

    LSU will march on Bama.

Not even sure Bama can get JJ down.

All this Honeybadger talk is cuz Clairborne is so lockdown, Badger can run loose.

Don't even need the Badger.  His replacement got a pick 6 last game.

Agree to disagree on the marching, and rushing game... That rush offense WILL get shut down, mark my words right now.

As for JJ, I am a bit scared of him. He is serious this season, and he hurt us bad last year. We won't have any trouble "getting him down", we just have to contain him. The only hope I have is that Nick Saban is an amazing coach, and LSU is going against pretty much the same defense they played against last season. They have learned from that game, and Saban has them prepared for pretty much anything LSU can throw at them with this guy. Saban is something like 14 - 1 in revenge games. In his career, only one coach has beaten him twice, and that is saying something. Add that to a bye week, and home field advantage, and you have something nice to consider.

Yeah HUGE edge to LSU with that guy... Field position is going to be a HUGE factor in this game... A stat I have been looking at when I think about this... Alabama is ranked higher in 3rd down conversions, and defending on third down that LSU on converting, and defending on third down. IF Bama can win that battle of field position, then he will not be a factor. I can only hope...

Think the media has this game backwards............. They both have good defenses but this is gonna be an offensive game.  Gonna be a lot of first downs.

Both teams can control the rock and score.

I think both offenses are basically unstoppable.

Quit looking at rankings............... Look at the O Lines on both sides.  They are both massive.

Also, all this coaching edge stuff is getting outta control.

LSU has Chavis.......... and gets to start the game in man coverage all night.

    Miles is figurehead.

And you fail because you stopped reading everything else I said in that sentance... I said that he is the greatest mind when it comes to coaching players in the secondary. Hard to argue that...
