We had more yards than LSU, we just couldn't complete drives. That had a lot to do with play calling, and execution, just as much as it was their amazing defense.
That is total BS and just a bunch of excuses. Anyone can say the same thing about the LSU drives deep in your territory. I'm sure you'll claim it was your defense that was the reason LSU didn't get in the endzone.

1) You get to avenge last year's loss to the hated AU squad by pummeling them on The Plains. - I know... I love that, and I always say, we can lose every game this season, and as long as we beat AU, I am happy!
2) A likely spot in the Sugar Bowl vs. a top 5 team. - Yeah, I know it... I can't wait to see who we go up against. I still feel Bama is by FAR the second best team in the nation, and they WILL dominate who ever they play.
3) An outside shot at a rematch against LSU. - I don't really think I want that, to be honest. In Batton Rouge, they would probably do a lot better, and we would be in a much worse spot. Also, I don't like the idea of a National Championship without an SEC championship. I wish LSU the best of luck in their drive to the NC.
A good remedy for your blues might be to go on a road trip to Starkville this saturday. i think that it wiould help you realize how good you have it as a 'Tide fan. - I agree with that lol, but I am on no way, in the slightest warry of my Tide. I still think they are the second best team in the nation, and they will have an amazing rest of the season.

I can't say what caused LSU to get stopped when they came into our side of the field. I am sure it was our defense, just as much as it was LSU. I have been watching my team play all season, and we have struggled in that area many times. It comes down to execution, as I said.
