It's easy to pad your stats when you play teams that can't move the ball for shit, and keeps handing it back to the opposing team.
One reason LSU doesn't put up huge yards per game like Bama, is because their defense and special team gives them great, short field position.
LSU defense has been scoring almost as much as their offense, decreasing their time of possession and offensive plays. Their special team and defense pins the opposing team inside their own 20 the majority of the time, and LSU ends up with a shorter field to play with. How much yards can they possibly put up, if they only have to move the ball 50-60yds per possession???
This is going to be a great game. But let's be real here, this Bama team has proven nothing, compare to Bama's team the last two years, who played a much tougher schedule.
You keep using the 500+yds West Virginia put on LSU defense as the "all I need to know" argument, and not once mentioned the game was out of hand already and LSU played soft defense.
But, somehow, Bama played one, apparently overrated Arkansas team, and that's the only argument needed. Alabama played one top 25 offensive team in Arkansas, a team who's prolific offense was literally shut down by Ole Miss and Vanderbilt, and was losing the majority of the game. How can anyone even use that as a measuring stick, to see how good one's team defense truly is.
I have no doubt that Bama's defense is the real deal, but please....don't talk like LSU hasn't proven anything. They've proven more than what the Tides have done, so far.

Red zone Defense on paper looks bad for LSU............
LSU Defense 93.75% (vs Bama 67%)
BUT.......... 56% TDs which is basically same as BAma.
%s are deceiving tho........... LSU hasn't allowed more than 11 points to an SEC team (allowed 11 vs Florida)...... (vs Bama high of 14 in Arky game)

Not sure how you can think an offensive shootout is better than a physical defensive battle- i do know that Bama or LSU would win against Stanford- they are much too physical- Pac 12 football is all about offense and no defense- Defense wins championships and Alabama and LSU play the best defense in the country- Luck is great but who knows what he would do at LSU- hard to tell- it would change everything on their offense- but he isn't so that is a moot point-
I can't wait for this game- just seems hard to not take the points and i think it goes over as well

Oh hey man, trust me... LSU is the real deal, and I am fully aware of that... I have stated in several of my posts that I have concearns in areas of this game.
Fact - I think we have an advantage with running the ball, and also stopping then run...
Fact - I think LSU has a clear advantage with the passing game, and it is going to cause major issues for Bama. This could even take pressure off the run, and cause ever more issues.
Fact - LSU has amazing special teams, and it could play a major role in the field position battle...
Fact - Playing at BD stadium will be a factor that swings in Bama's favor...
Fact - Les Miles and Nick Saban are 2-2 against each other... The last time LSU came to BD they lost... This same team is still on the field from that loss they suffered, they are playing for that game, and they are playing for this community, they are also playing for their coach during his birthday week. Nick Saban is 14-1 in revenge games.

You are very wrong... At times he will be doubled, but we do a lot of corner blitzes, and that will put our safeties in man coverage.

Less than ONE YARD return on LSU punts. 
... Only 1.4 returnable punts per game but still.
I have said LSU has a clear advantage with the kicking game. It all depends on field position though... If he is punting from his own 20, or 30 then it won't make a difference. Maze is also a beast when returning punts...
