Oh yes, play of the year time. And when the lines were released I almost had trouble containing myself.

Gentlemen, you will not get another chance to play a line this low against a team this bad.

The play of the year in CFB is.................

SMU Mustangs -3 over the

Tulane Green Wave

Barring any injuries or something unforeseen during the week, this will be the play of the year. Yes, I do watch these teams. And I do think the line will move to make Tulane a bigger dog so I'm posting it with the best line right now (and this line is a mistake regardless of what you think of SMU). Tulane played UCF this year, opened as a pickum and UCF ended up as a 2 pt favorite. Now that's scary in terms of what can happen to this line. If it stays put or moves down? I'll be happy I'm wrong.

Funny you should say that because I know you just saw that I told this entire forum that betting against Rex vs. the Jets was insane. Oh yes, that was another Bills Jets game that gave it all back and then some. Tulane is a piece of work, let me tell you. A horror show of epic proportions at times and I have waited for a very light line (they ALWAYS get points) against a very hungry (albeit moderately poor but again hungry) team. Here it is. Vegas is going to pay with this line. Would I like a pure line of -1 of a pickum? Of course. SMU will win. We only need to get over the number.  Was going to make UCF ECU the biggest bet of the year. Never in my wildest dreams did I think UCF would be the worst team in the FBS, or very close to the worst, screwing that bet up in a major way making me back off.

-3 at SMU translates to -3 Tulane in Tulane. That is insane. Tulane has zero home field advantage, GOT points from a winless UCF and most certainly are affected by the travel from West Point to Dallas in back to back road games for this one. l&#x27;ll take SMU -3 all day, every day from now till the end of time.

Cant argue. Will probably make the cut. Tulane literally has the worst special teams unit in the nation....and their defense aint much better. They celebrated beating Army like they were getting ready to go to Disneyland....Should give up 40&#x2B; vs SMU

I think the line is an over reaction to the beating Navy delivered... and the high scoring affair with Army. I took SMU -3 in a heartbeat when the lines came out. Good luck!

Perfect. And many unwinnable games including Baylor and TCU (add in Houston and Temple and USF and Navy and you get ranked team after ranked team). Even still have to play Memphis (another loss) too so this is their only chance to snap that streak and what a bone they are being thrown. If they were 2-8 or 3-7 or 4-6 this would be a 4-6 pt line and maybe even a 7 pt line and not a play of the year. Love the losing streak here. Absolutely love it. Makes the team extra-hungry.

Embarrassingly, I have watched a few Tulane games this season and boy are they just dreadful. SMU has had just a gauntlet of a schedule look at this.........TCU, Baylor, Houston, Navy, ECU, South Florida, Temple, Tulsa, they don't get to faced UCF this year and now they finally get an easy game vs. Tulane. I'm not scared off by their horrible record. They aren't a great team but they've faced every good team in conference now they finally get a well deserved cupcake. I'll be on this one as well. Don&#x27;t know Scal. Would llean SMU too but that D has been terrible. Giving up at least 40 to everybody they&#x27;ve played. That&#x27;s not good if you have to lay points. Except for usf scoring 38 everyone else has put up a ton of points on them. Tulane gave up less points to Navy than SMU did and Temple as well. I may tease them thru &#x2B;7 maybe as I could see a close one but maybe you know much more. Seem confident. BOL

When I first saw this line Sunday evening I thought the same thing. Then I remembered sitting in the Liberty Bowl a few weeks ago watching my undefeated Memphis Tigers as a 31 point favorite play against Tulane. They didn&#x27;t look that bad to me as they led Memphis 13-0 into the 2nd quarter scoring touchdowns on their 1st 2 possessions. Defense seemed to frustrate Memphis as well as Memphis snagged a safety and a field goal right before the half to take the lead 15 -13. The kid playing at QB for Tulane that night was the 3rd string QB who had never started a game. They sure punched my Tigers in the mouth and it took a big 2nd half for Memphis to pull away. This is why I stayed away from touching this game. The way I see it, if Tulane has enough athletes to hang with Memphis for a half of football using their 3rd string QB, I believe they can run with SMU for a whole game with their 1st string QB. Not sure SMU can respond to being punched in the mouth as well as my Tigers can. Proceed with caution. Definitely not a play of the year, nor even of the week. Who can ever justify a game of the year on either of these teams who have proven they cannot WIN games much less cover a spread. Risky business  =    FADE
