It's lines like these that make me wish I wasn't a Miami fan.

I'm seeing a lot of FSU support on this board! And all I have to say is .

I'm trying to look at this game as unbiased as possible and I'm loving the +6 that I'm seeing at some places. If it somehow goes to 7, and I doubt it will, but if it does then I will have to break my 'don't get with / against my Canes' rule. A few quick reasons as to why I'm really liking this line.

- FSU has absolutely nothing at WR. Maybe somebody will emerge, but they have nothing right now.

- Miami has the WORST O-Coordinator in the history of college football last year. Patrick Nix, the guy who ruined Reggie Ball and didn't really know how to use Calvin Johnson, tried his best to call plays for the Canes last year, and he was freaking horrible. Miami was seriously a one man offense last year, with Travis Benjamin destroying the Noles, but came up a little short.

- Jacory Harris a.k.a. The Black Ken Dorsey. (that would be college Ken Dorsey). Miami finally has a legit QB since Dorsey. Not to mention, the new O-Coordinator is the QB Coach and he helped develop Ben Roethlesburger at Miami OH and a few other studs. Harris was the guy that bailed out Mavre last year and came in to win some games.

- Last year, Miami dressed 48 freshman and sophomores. There were true Freshman all over the field last year. While they were making plays, they still had their High School frames and inexperience. They actually know what's going on this year, which might be pretty scary for some teams.

Once again, I think the Noles are ranked to high to start the season. I'm not claiming that the Canes will stomp them or be in a national title race or any of that. I just know that Miami's defense will be much better and the skill players on offense are animals. I love the points and I'm definitely liking the ML play.

Very much a pride game,. Noticed in this series for a long time, most things are thrown out the window... FSU is on a terrible year and they play miami hard, and vice versa.  However, this usually happens in the games i've seen in mid- end- of season.... Coming right out of the gates i will further jinx your team..,. no play yet, but will be on this game by Saturday....

Miami, point well taken has exceptional recruiting constantly.. And  the class will mature.   I  think miami will surprise a lot of folks this year in certain games.  I think this is one of those games

I suggest betting your home team every game.  And go LARGE when they're playing my team.

And if you went to an SEC school, never bet against your conference.  Makes it more fun for the rest of us.

Well said Assassin, I think the points are too valuable here to lay the chalk with the 'Noles.  A small play on the U for me...

Agree Bowden is a little senile/dementia, but Bowden has about 4 other coaches helping him who could be head coach at another school.

I'm not going to get into an argument match with UMSUX on this game. I will just say that most of his write-up on Miami is most definitely false. The biggest thing that stands out, well two things - 1.) The stud WRs got a TON of playing time last year. Sam Shields was the only SR. and he had 11 catches all season. He is now a DB due to the Freshman...now Sophomores, being flat out better. Benjamin, Hankerson, 'Glue Hands' Johnson, Laron Byrd (who is a pure freak of nature), Farq etc. all started games and has substantial playing time. The kicker here is that Tommy Streeter, probably the best WR of them all, was hurt last year and didn't play.

As for the RB: Cooper is a damn good RB. You also didn't mention Javaris James, who is now a SR and a very legit back up, who used to start. He's being pushed by a few young guys who tore up the spring game in Lamar Miller and Damien Berry.

The O-Line?: Well I'm not sure what you're talking about. 3 returning starters and Figueroa has gotten a tone of playing time over the last two years. I will admit that it's not a deep position, but it's certainly not weak when the returning starters are in.

As far as Jacory: Yes, he's unproven. He had to split time with Robert Mavre last year, but he came in and brought the team from being down in 3 games to win them. I'm not totally sold on him yet, at least his physical attributes as it looks like he has Ken Dorsey arm strength, but he's a very smart QB and he spends his time watching tape. IF he does get hurt, the Canes are hosed as 2 QBs just took off last week, include a very good Tyler Cook.

Defense: They were HORRIBLE against the run last year! They also started SIX true freshman! Sean Spence came out the other day and admitted that they were too small last year as true Frosh and that the just got tossed around. He claims they will stop the run this year, but I'll buy that when i see it.

all that aside, I love Miami catching 6 points in this game. The Canes have fared well at Doak and may / hopefully come out of this with a SU win. Good ole saggy tits Andrews and Bobbah Bowdurrrr are facing a brand new O-Coordinator and really have nothing to go off as far as game planning for him, which I love.

i agree OP...Miami will mop FSU...only worried about the DE situation though
