Auburn, Alabama, Texas, USC, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Georgia, Ohio State and Notre Dame, to name a few, have all brought in higher rated recruiting classes various times over the last 5 years (compared to Oklahoma). Stoops gets a bad rap, and facts do not back up your claim.
I highlighted the teams you picked. wouldnt you agree Oklahoma would be very close or next on that list? Where do you suspect Kansas St is? So now you wanna compare K St to Bama and Ohio St? Hmmmm
Whats Stoops bowl record? How many of those games was he favored? Name some "big" wins the last 5 years......
Where are your facts?

Nobody is a bigger Snyder supporter than I am, but that wasn't the issue. You (and others) bash the shit out of Stoops and imply that he's getting the same quality of recruits that Saban or Mack Brown get. Simply not true. I'm not gonna dig up Stoops bowl wins and losses.......which ones he was favored in........what defines a big game, etc........thats been debated over and over. He does own is biggest rival (Texas), up to this point has dominated the Big XII and has an overall record of 144-35. I have a feeling that more than a few of the teams you highlited would swap head coaches with OU. Has he laid a few eggs? Certianly Is he one of the best coaches in the country? I say he is......you say he isn't.......somehow I doubt either of us will change the other's opinion.

Alabama is a top tier football program even when they are down. They have the pick of the liter in a state rich with D1 atheletes.
We are talking about KANSAS ST here man. Again, there are VERY few D1 football players in that state and the are not a traditional football powerhouse. The state of Kansas is (was) geared towards basketball.
It really drives me crazy that people don't get this.
Before Saban, we were not getting those recruits. I should know, I went to school during that time. Yes, it is very easy to pull recruits to Bama because of our rich tradition, but we simply weren't doing it and it was because of the coaches. Too many times we wasted scholarships on kids that were not SEC talent and probably not even Div 1 talent.
What Snyder has done with KSU is amazing, which is why I have him behind Saban without him ever winning a NC.
Saban is better because he is the TOTAL package... I don't see why people don't understand this. He is the ultimate program builder. Recruiting, coaching, and player management.
If I was Jay Jacobs or Pat Dye, I would be unloading everything imaginable to try and pull Snyder or Gary Patterson to Auburn.
Train - Yes, I said Stoops. As you can see, I had him at the very back. Name a coach that I left off that list that you would replace Stoops with.

Bill Snyder took over a program that had the worst record in NCAA Division I-A (FBS) and had gone winless in its prior 27 consecutive games.[15] Snyder then presided over one of the most successful rebuilding projects in the history of college athletics.
In 1991, Snyder's Wildcats finished 7–4 and narrowly missed receiving the school's second bowl bid ever. The team also finished with a winning record in conference play for only the third time since winning the conference title in 1934
Nobody is denying that Saban is great coach but Snyder turning KST into what they are is nothing short of amazing.

I guess you missed the part where I said what Snyder has done with KSU is amazing. If Saban was at KSU, it would not be that much harder for him to pull the recruits he is pulling at Bama, as his player development record is unbelievable.

I remember when KSU played the Huskies in 1991 (the year the Huskies won the NC).........they got blasted like 56-0. People (mostly east coasters) were calling it a weak W............until Snyder ended up winning 6 of the L7 games. KSU was like Oregon & Oregon St. back then..........they celebrated ANY win, & for this guy to damn near take them to a bowl in his 1st season was insane. Hard to imagine these days that 7-4 didn't make a bowl.
Yeah......Bill Snyder is definitely underrated.
