    virginia tech -14 BOSTON COLLEGE

Let’s stop pretending Boston College is a competent football team. BC’s 2-1 record is held together by scotch tape and prayer.  First, Cincy dragged them 34-15. Then BC “escaped” Rutgers despite turning the game into a literal turnover circus where the Scarlet Knights threw FOUR picks and still racked up 364 total yards. Against FCS Maine, BC turned a standard buy-game into a terrifying Bear Grylls Survival Documentary, scraping by 22-16 after getting stuffed twice on 4th-and-1.

Oh, and if you think that Cincy loss isn't that bad? The Bearcats almost got body-slammed by Miami of Ohio, needing a desperate 21-point comeback to win 35-31. Saying BC is solid because they only lost to Cincy is like giving a restaurant five stars because a guy who ate there survived Taco Bell an hour later. Don't ever trust a fart.  BC's offense moves with all the urgency of Hawk Tuah girl trying to explain quantum mechanics.

Meanwhile, Hokies OC looks like he turned the NFL Blitz cheat codes on. VT is averaging 50.7 PPG (4th nationally) and just went into Maryland and dropped a smooth 35-26 win. Ethan Grunkemeyer was surgically dissecting the Terps, Reynolds was eating like it was Thanksgiving, and the backfield duo of Overton and Hawkins is moving with the unstoppable momentum of Marshawn Lynch - Beast Mode!   Meanwhile, BC's offense is still stuck in the parking lot trying to find its venue pass.

VT’s defense only allows 61 rushing yards per game and leads the nation in ruining quarterbacks' lives. Even if that forecasted nor'easter turns Alumni Stadium into a giant Slip 'N Slide, VT's trenches will utterly dominate.

This matchup isn't competitive—it’s Godzilla stepping into a local CVS. I'm laying the 14 points with confidence. Hokies roll!

Wind with rain, rain and wind can lead to flooding and power outages.

Temp. 51 with 9 hours of rain.  Wind starting at 22 mph.

Could be a slushy run run run game as you predicted.  BOLcloverpeace_5

     utah -7.5 IOWA STATE

. The Utes aren’t just winning—they’re disassembling opponents like they’re auditioning for the next season of The Bear. Through three games, Utah has outscored foes 142–24, which is the football equivalent of Thanos snapping his fingers and the other team disappearing into dust.

And let’s talk about that Arkansas game. Utah beat Arkansas so badly that Georgia—yes, Georgia—looked over and said, “Dang, maybe tone it down.” Utah didn’t just win; they turned Arkansas into a live-action reenactment of the Mortal Kombat “Finish Him!” scene. Then they followed it up by shutting out a Utah State team that almost beat Washington, holding them to 58 rushing yards and 130 passing yards. Utah surrendered 15 completions on 29 attempts for a total of 130 yards… In the running game, the Utes gave up 58 yards on 25 attempts.  That’s not defense—that’s a crime scene - they should have wrapped the field in yellow plastic tape with outlines of bodies in chalk on the field.

Meanwhile, Iowa State’s résumé is basically what?  They beat Soylent Green. Wow.  Their 55–7 win over Soylent Green is the stat-padding equivalent of doing bicep curls with inflatable pool noodles. And that “close loss” to Iowa? Please. Iowa’s offense moves with the speed and creativity of a fax machine. The Cyclones were lucky to be in that game at all.

Utah, on the other hand, brings a fully operational battle station to Ames. Devon Dampier has been cooking like he’s trying to get a Michelin star, completing 72% of his passes with a 178.5 rating. Dampier is second in the Big 12 in passer rating… while throwing for 690 yards, seven touchdowns and one interception.  Utah has scored at least 30 points in nine straight games, and they’re averaging 518 yards per game. This team has been good...and is good and their offense is completely underrated.

And the defense? Utah is allowing 75 rushing yards per game, second-best in the Big 12. Iowa State wants to run the ball two-thirds of the time, but Utah’s front seven is about to treat Aiden Flora like he’s trying to escape the Upside Down. Flora’s big-play magic is real, but it came against Southeast Missouri and Soylent Green—aka the football versions of background NPCs. Unpad those stats!

Jaylen Raynor? Utah is going to dare him to throw in the rain, and his passing numbers scream “please don’t make me.” Passing continues to be an Achilles’ heel… Raynor is dead last among Big 12 quarterbacks in passing yards.  Utah’s defense is allowing 8 points per game. Iowa State is not built to crack that.

Utah has been dominant, efficient, violent, and hilarious all at once. Iowa State has been plucky, scrappy, and occasionally competent. This spread is begging to be laid.

    Utah by 14+.  Easy peasy.

     utah -7.5 IOWA STATE

    TULANE -18.5 vs Southern Siss

We got TULANE GREEN WAVE -18.5 against the artist formerly known as Southern Miss, who from now on will be referred to as Southern SISS, because that's how they play football.  Let's start with the tale of the tape that Vegas wants you to ignore like it's the Epstein files.

TULANE JUST WENT TOE-TO-TOE WITH UNDEFEATED KANSAS STATE IN MANHATTAN AND LOST 31-20. That 20 spot? That's MORE than ANYONE has scored on K-State this year. K-State hadn't even allowed an offensive TD before Tulane walked in and said "hello". Tulane held K-State to their LOWEST point total of the season too. They faced Duke (with Nate Sheppard leading the NATION in rushing) and K-State on the road back-to-back - PFF says 18th hardest schedule in the country. They didn't play Alcorn State Community College of the Blind. They played grown ass men.

And what has Southern SISS done? LMAO.

Southern SISS got absolutely BLUDGEONED by UCONN. Not 2023 UConn basketball. FOOTBALL UCONN. 48-20 at HOME in Hattiesburg. That's a 28-point woodshedding. My guy, UConn is basically a Big East basketball school that plays football as a hobby between March Madness runs. They are NOT Tulane. Tulane is a team that literally MADE THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF LAST YEAR as the No. 11 seed, went 11-3, won the American 34-21 over North Texas. Southern Siss is a team that made the Toilet Bowl.

Oh and you want another data point? Auburn smashed Southern Siss by 35. THIRTY-FIVE. If Auburn by 35 is the floor, how in the hell is 18.5 supposed to be scary? That's like asking if Travis Kelce can cover Taylor Swift in man coverage - it's OVER before it starts.

Now add the human element - WILL HALL REVENGE GAME. This is better than a Netflix doc. Hall went 14-30 at Southern Miss, got fired, spent 100 weeks in exile, and now he's back at Tulane where he belongs. He told reporters "I'm really happy to be head coach here" like 5 times when they asked about Southern Miss. That's coach-speak for "I'm going to run up the score like it's the final scene of Oppenheimer and I invented the bomb."

Southern Siss is starting a backup QB because Ethan Hampton re-injured his hand against UConn, WR Greg Page is out with a dislocated elbow. They are held together with duct tape and Hattiesburg humidity. Their DC Joe Bolden literally said "These dudes can fly" about Tulane and that they have to "bow our neck and strike a guy." HELLO? Your defense just gave up 48 to UConn's third-string accountant.

Tulane hasn't played a cupcake all year. No FCS. No Alcorn State win to pad stats like Southern Siss. They've been getting punched in the mouth by Power 4 giants and they're still holding every single opponent to their lowest point total of the season. Now they finally get to play a team their own size - actually, smaller. Like Hornswaggle doll size.

This is Tulane's get-right game before conference play. They are going to run Johnnie Daniels, Maurice Turner, Jaylin Lucas right down Siss's throat. Speed kills, and Tulane has speed everywhere. Southern Siss has speed like dial-up internet.

Tulane covers the 18.5 by halftime, Will Hall rings that Bell like it's the Liberty Bell on the 4th of July, and I cash and go buy overpriced Raising Cane's.  PREDICTION: Tulane 44 - Southern Siss 10
