Now you know you need 2 possessions. If you wait until the 2nd TD you may not have time. Sense of urgency is critical IMO
Please stop watching football immediately. He is suppose to kick the extra point, make it a 1 possession game and the kick off. Why am I even explaining this

Explain to me how it's a must to kick on the 1st TD. Maybe I am missing something but I feel like the sense of urgency may be lost if you kick on the 1st one assuming you will make it on the 2nd one. Most people just agree with the notion that you have to kick on the first because it's been drilled into their heads.

no time is run on plays following a td. It;s a dead clock play. if you get a td while running out of time, you still get to kick or go for 2/
Its an extension of the td play.
Therefore, worst/dumbest coaching move ive seen in years. Wait, he faked on his own 8 yards to try and pick up 11 yards so dumbest play since that one.

Yeah differing opinions are always wrong. Most people just believe what is told to them for no other reason but because it's been repeated over and over. Teams must huddle, to open up the pass you must run etc...

This whole idea of making it a 1 possession game implies you are going to make a 2 pt conversion which is quite an assumption. Since you need to make 1 at some point why not try it sooner so if you do fail you know you need to get the ball back twice. Read the article, steve spurrier agrees but what the hell does he know

I can see why the coach would go for 2. People will call it dumb since most of the time you shouldn't be going for 2 when you down 9. The coach probably was thinking that if he doesn't go for tso then he will focus do much time to tie the game then the gsme comes down to the two ppint conversion. If he don't get it then the ga me is basically over. Since he went for 2 early and if he don't get it then he know he need 2 possessions and he still got plenty of timeout and time on the clock. Might not be the move most people agree with but that was probably his logic.

Yes of course it is this way because it's always been this way. Lots of forward thinkers here.
From article
Yes, missing out on the two-point conversion earlier could be demoralizing. But what would you call missing out on a two-point conversion with 5 seconds left when trailing by 2?

For phucks sake please wake up, it doesn't imply that you are going to make the 2 point conversion, it implies that you make it a 1 possession game with 5 minutes left and give yourself a legit chance to play defense and get the ball back. You kick the extra point there, you kick the ball deep and you play defense and try and get decent field position for your next and possibly final drive. If you really don't understand that I can't help you. You don't even need to understand football to understand the thinking behind what everyone is telling you.
