Guys, I am out of the penalty box as you can see. We finished 25 - 6 YTD for basically 8 weeks worth of consensus.
For the bowls, we will have to see how it shakes out. I have a feeling that we will get very few consensus picks as my guess is there are going to be guys lined up on each side of each game, but lets see how it plays out.
I was thinking that maybe for the bowls since each capper will probably have a pick for each game that I might modify the consensus selection criteria to include situations where there may be one or two caps on the opposite side. Something like this:
Consensus Requirement:
4 - 0
5 - 1
6 - 1
7 - 2
Would appreciate any input...

That VA TECH pick is garbage
Cincy is going to kill them.
1. Cincy has had massive injury issues so they will be getting healthy at the right time.
2. Va Tech is a very mediocre team. Fine the ACC has a lot of bowl teams - it is a garbage conference. I know the Big East is as well but Cincy is the best team Va Tech will have faced all year. Cincy has already faced Oklahoma, hung tight with them for three quarters even though they lost their QB to a broken leg. Bradford had 5TD passes - if that is Cincy's biggest weakness then Va Tech is not a team that can exploit it. Va Tech gets nothing out of their QBs.
3. Va Tech is very young having unprecedented special teams meltdowns all year but working hard and hanging arounddoing just enough to win. Not gonna cut it in this game.
4. Throw out the Hawaii game. Cincy completely mailed it in having already won the Big East and still won the game. Word was that people were shocked to see that Cincy was staying in a hotel on the beach because most teams know that you have to decide between making the trip to Hawaii a vacation or business. Cincy made it a vacation and still won.

Mob - I believe your analysis has merit, but remember I am not putting any lean on these picks. Just reporting where there is alignment from the cappers. And Va Tech is not a consensus pick at this time....

You are right, the system will to have change for bowls, and the likelihood is that all the cappers you choose will pick all the bowls, so since theres so much time before bowls, a final talley for each bowl ultimately is what you will have ie: Sooners10-Gators2. We anxiously await to see the Talley

I am not bashing anyone; it's just too damn early to start talking about consensus on plays.... post those numbers 1-2 days before the games...
