I want no part of Texas vs Tennessee. On paper, the Longhorns hold every advantage imaginable, yet Sarkisian has shown up with one of the worst road teams since they joined the SEC going 2-7 against the spread outside of DKR. This streak includes last season's OT games vs Mississippi State & Kentucky, a loss in The Swamp to the Gators, and the buzzsaw by the Dawgs in Athens. Arch Manning has 18 games under his belt and very rarely has he shown any sort of consistency for a guy who people keep talking about #1 NFL Draft potential. Now I do really like what Muschamp and the defense have to offer against a freshman QB in Fazion Brandon, but Texas is either a fade or no play for me as they have not shown they can play 4 quarters of good football.
Ole Miss vs Florida is my game of the week. I've been high on Florida all offseason with the hire of Jon Sumrall and the staff he brought in to Gainesville with him. Ole Miss in the biggest letdown spot of the season to the point where oddsmakers have the Gators at 3.5 point favorites. The only thing I can bring myself to believe is that Ole Miss RB Kewan Lacy is much more likely to be out than we have been told so far. In this game a year ago, Florida went into the 4th quarter with the lead as a team that had already fired their head coach earlier in the year. I get it but man does this line stink and I don't think I have the taste for laying a FG or more against Chambliss and the Rebs even when they could still be drunk as I write this on Thursday afternoon.

A&M heads back to Death Valley where last year they drove in the final nail in Brian Kelly's coffin. LSU comes off of the huge emotional loss on the road at Ole Miss. Lane's return was spoiled and now they have to come back home to reset with a Texas A&M team who got embarrassed at home by Kentucky. The Wildcats were more physical than the Aggies all game long and in most cases I would look at this as a major red flag/sale sign on a team but I do think that Mike Elko is a good coach who can go in this week and challenge his team to come out and start bringing the fight to teams rather than waiting to get hit first. Similar to the Michigan bounce back vs Oklahoma, I have heard a lot of "Marcel Reed is terrible." "A&M is just a bad football team" which is my sign to fade the narrative and take the points with a solid team on the road where everyone has already counted them out.

Can Missouri slow down Kamario Taylor? Holy smokes this dude has looked like the guy a vast majority thought Arch Manning was going to be. I did like Mississippi State to surprise some teams this year as they look to be building in the right direction but little did we know they had a game changer at QB. It's difficult making adjustments in these early season spots where you don't want to overweight changes due to one or two results. I have bumped the Bulldogs up but not high enough where they are 6 point favorites over the Missouri Tigers. I had to back Missouri at this number but if Mississippi State gets to 4-0 with another convincing win, then Alabama, LSU, Texas, and Ole Miss have another huge problem on their schedules facing this Bulldog team.
