2-0 since posting...
The weekday home teams have been cleaning up for sure, I mentioned this in a post last week when LaTech played Nevada. Everybody loves a home team on National TV. Last night was a game I feel the trend won but was wrong. Anybody who had Tulsa must feel real nice with that win. Not at any point do those two teams belong in the same class and even watching it with some buddies who had Tulsa even when p 14-8 didn't feel like they had a chance to win that game outright or cover.
Everybody hyped up Tulsa but look at their conference its pathetic. I said it yesterday anytime they step up out of conference and play a good team that offense shits the bed. They have only played 4 good opponents in the last 3 years OU twice, Utah, and this Boise team last night.
Everbody was hanging their hats on how well Tulsa stops the run but outside of OU look at that schedule? That was the basis of a lot of posts I saw yesterday yet Boise still ripped off 200 yards on the ground. Had double the first downs. 2.5 Times the rushing yards. Two fumbles in the first half at the 50 on a punt which the crowd errupted after sounding dead. The other in + territory at the 40. With a trick play for a TD they were still down 18-14 at half.
Once Boise got up 14 they had one solid play call on the play action that would of ended the game just a missed the outstretched hands of the receiver.
Again, the crowd was dead as could be you could hear a pin drop but on a 3rd and 12 a miracle first down lead to a deep pass one play later and there was the cover.
After watching that game I think if they played the game again tonight with the same line there would be even MORE money bet on Boise.
Same thing tonight, I just think Cincinnati is the better team here.
There was no reason for anyone to back Tulsa last night yet we got that line shift from 10 to 8.5 overnight to scare people away and then it went back up throughout the day to 8.5-9.-9.5 and even 10. Same thing here with the overnight line move from 3 to 2.5-2 some places 1.5.
I think Well coached teams can overcome the home field advantage, and we are only talking about less then a one score game here, not more than a TD like we saw last night.
Have to side with Estes here
