Certain team stats are a true indication of how a team should be playing once there is a full year of stats. There are some things that may factor in such as time off, desire to be at the game, etc. but I don't put alot into the things that can't be backed up by numbers.....I'm not a psychic and can't get into the heads of players and teams so I'll stick to the numbers.....and I'll stick to Defense.
Ball State Defensive Concerns:
Tackles for a loss #111 (going to give up too many positive yard plays)
Pass Defense #89 and Pass Efficency Defense #94
Rushing Defense #106 (with not much competitiion in the MAC this is a concern)
Scoring Defense #89
UCF Defense Comparison:
#16 in turnover margin (love this stat)
#29 in scoring defense
#42 in pass defense
#63 in Rush Defense (I don't love this stat)
