New Mexico State only -3.5 at home against winless Sam Houston ?! Are the book makers trying to use reverse psychology on us tonight or do they know something we don’t ?! I have watched New Mex state a few times and they are decent … line seems abit short against winless sam Houston.
Am I missing something ?!
Maybe they think because Sam Houston State has had by far and away the tougher schedule and not losing by more than two scores to anyone but once (BYU by 14, Air Force by 10, Houston by 31, Jacksonville State by 7 and Liberty by 5) that they are battle tested and ready for their first win.

it was 5.5 even 6 but SH has become a team lately that people are backing, they covered 1st 2 games even though they only scored 3 pts in both games combined, then they did not vs Houston, then vs Jax st they should have but did not, then at Liberty they did not cover 1st half, but Liberty did nothing in 2nd half, and maybe should have lost, so SH still is a team that has been getting the backing, to cover without scoring is odd, i took SH+4 in a parlay, but N M st would not surprise me if they end up covering this late, their loss at home to U Mass is what makes people really think

SHST played three games in 13 days against its toughest opponents. Now they get 5 days off before an odd travel schedule to NMST. Elevation will catch up with the fatigued SHST team.
Notes from NMST:
20 - With 20 completions against FIU last Wednesday, set a new career-high in completions.
174.4 - Entering Wednesday, ranks 15th in the nation in passing efficiency at 174.4. This comes on the heels of a 2022 season in which he finished with a 133.5 passer rating.
16.6 - By posting an average of 16.6 yards per completion, the NM State offense ranks sixth in the nation among FBS teams in this category.
3 - With just three fumbles lost this season, NM State is tied for first in Conference USA for fewest turnovers by way of fumble this season.
7 - The Aggies' seven sacks as a team on Wednesday against FIU marks the most sacks for an Aggie defense since 2018 when NM State racked up eight sacks in a win over UTEP.
4 - With seven games remaining on the schedule, the Aggies are in need of four wins to become bowl eligible for the second straight season.
Last Wednesday, the Aggies held FIU rushers to a combined 87 yards. This marks the second time NM State has held an opponent to fewer than 100 rushing yards in a game this season and the fourth time under Head Coach .
Earlier this season, the Aggies held Western Illinois to just 32 rushing yards

Sam Houston defense is actually pretty decent.... it's their offense that sucks
New Mexico st has a very efficient offense......4th best average yards per play nationally
Their rush attack is really really good
It's new Mexico st or nothing
If you backing Sam Houston here it's just not a smart bet.......

this is a classic two teams going in opposite directions. NMST needs this win for bowl eligibility. All those SHST players that were convinced to redshirt last year for the jump to FBS are now left holding the bag of empty promises.

SH's offense is terrible, eventually you lose the field position battle. They are covering consistently which means they are due a win against a weak opponent. I would feel better backing them at home to be honest. Both of these game have low lines..... gift or trap? ![]()

New Mexico st offense is pretty good.........
New Mexico st defense is pretty decent...... only gave up points to liberty........17 or less in the other games
I am just putting money on the better team on both sides of the ball at home with a low spread
But yes sh offense is shit

@RUM151
well i pretty much pegged this, but i will admit, because i have not won yet this week i also bet SH following everyone, but when i wrote why i thought so many were on SH , i pointed out how can you back a team who has covered without scoring??? their 1st 2 covers were wjhen they played airforce and BYU and they were getting like 17+ in each game but lost like 14-0 14-3 some shit like that, and here they are again tonight getting shut out, only this time they are not getting 20 just 3-4 they are a very bad team, i need to handicap a little better, or maybe just think about what i am writing, ...lol ...as far as where did i see 5 or 5.5 they opened at 5.5 at NM st sunday afternoon , maybe people will stop riding this team, they had 1 real good cover shot is when they took the lead late vs Jax st, then lost by 7 getting 6.....people bet it down to 3.5 and as usual the Public was wrong gl everyone

400 to 100 yards in the 1st half.. I am taking NMSU 2nd half anything under -3.5. Complete mismatch Sam Houston’s D is tired AF being on the field all 1st half.

It was a Mayweather bet pre-game....too bad I did not find this early. ![]()
None of you are talking about the fact that SHST has to run in order to pass successfully and 4 of their 5 most productive runners ARE OUT of this game!

@Teaser78
The only thing I can think of is maybe SHSU just got up for those games against the more superior teams and with the superior teams its the exact opposite just like with all sports. As bad as they've been on Off their D has been pretty outstanding this year not sure what happened
