Yesterday (Wed) was like an old school good day on Covers.

Question

I ripped the CFB forum a few times because it has turned into a joke with all of the morons showing up with all of their bullshit. It's arguing about dumb stuff and people showing up mid season with their 89% winning percentages (they claim), their GOY / LOCKS and that garbage.

So that being said, it was a good day on the CBB forum. It helps to come out a winner, but it was how it went down. People chimed in that had good information about either a certain team or a particular conference. Others chimed in with injuries that weren't know about by all of us etc. That is how covers used to be and hopefully we can maintain that. People sticking to what they know is key! I won't attempt to give info on a team or conference that I know nothing about, so I appreciate the people chiming in that DO know about certain teams / info. More people bet on CFB, so hopefully the CBB forum won't get out of control with morons. Let's keep this going, fellas.

Came into the day 1-0-1 on the Season. Hit -- St Loius, C. Michigan, UNLV and Texas 1H tonight. I followed on Cornell but I did not list that as one of my picks. So on the season:

5-0-1 on the Season (posted)
*still really trying hard to remain selective. Actually, four CBB plays in a day is a lot for me but a lot of games were on the table, I guess.

Does the CBB forum get like that when CFB is over with Ball Picker? I hope not. I can&#x27;t stand all the bickering and fighting that goes on over at the football forums. I can&#x27;t stand fighting on an Internet message board peroid. It&#x27;s so pointless and a waste of one&#x27;s time.

I couldn&#x27;t really tell you because I just started getting into capping CBB last year. So this is my first actual shot, I guess you can say, at hanging all year on the covers CBB forum. Hopefully it stays limited. The CFB forum was great when I started out here, but it has gotten ridiculous.

I&#x27;ve been posting in the CBB forum since 2003.  Name got reset when covers merged with wagerline.It does get worse as the season goes on, but not as bad as the CFB forum.  Not as many squares can deal with the every day grind of a college basketball season.  Need to have discipline, money management and know these teams very well to be profitable year in and year out.  Most people don&#x27;t possess even one of those three traits

i agree.......some guys just blindly tail and when they lose a couple of games without doing their homework they complain and whine about their losses......its ridiculous

What pisses me off is the useless threads 5 minutes into the game these rookie betters start crying. Whats the point of the thread.  Not a damn thing.  Take it like you&#x27;ve lost before (because you have) and hope for a better outcome on the next game. My bookie turned me on to covers in 2002 and I learned alot from those guys, but today this site has become almost unbareable to post and interact with people that may have insight.  GL buddy.

I agree ballpicker! The games are 40 minutes, not 20! It amazes me as to how people dismiss a wager after the first 5 minutes of a game and then without mercy rip a coach, player and team for their lack of effort and/or ability! The forum becomes a text version of The Jim Rome Show!

Last night many people were emphatic in dismissing UNLV and stating that UNR would basically run them off their own court. As we all know, UNLV HC Lon Kruger has always done a great job in preparing his teams for big games at the Thomas & Mack Center, let alone a rivalry game! I liked UNR but decided to lay off the wager due to that very fact.
