First the coaches. This is Dieblers first Tournament game, and it's not like he's a great coach to begin with. Dixon has been here many times, and won. Second, Ohio Sts best win away from home this year is....wait for it....Northwestern!!!! Way back in December. TCU just beat K State (tough place to play) and Texas Tech in back to back away games two weeks ago. Wrong team favored. TCU gets physical as hell and they win the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday.
1* Troy Trojans +13.5
I still think the Huskers are a bit of frauds. I have a bracket or two with Troy winning this game. It's going to be a slowed down, in the muck, kinda game, and that's in Troys wheelhouse. And its tough to win a low scoring game by 14+.
1* USF Bulls +4.5
I'm getting the worst of this number, as it was at 7 yesterday, but it is what it is. I think USF wins the game though, so it shouldn't matter. Louisville without Brown Jr. is a different offense. They score nearly 10 points a game less when he doesn't play. This Bulls defense is really turning it on late here too. They've won 11 in a row, with a margin of victory being over 15 points in those games. This team is feeling themselves right now. Throw in the story about head coach Bryan Hodgson never being able to coach a college game in front of his father due to his health issues, but he lives in Buffalo, where this game is being played, so he will get to see his boy do his thing. Everything is on the side of the Bulls in this game. Which actually scares me a bit, but I have to trust my gut.
1* High Point Panthers +10.5
These guys at High Point have played ALOT of basketball. They start 4 seniors, and bring another in Cam'Ron Fletcher off the bench. Yes, the same Cam'ron Fletcher that once played at Kentucky, Florida St and Xavier. They will not be intimidated by the guards of Wisconsin, who are VERY good, in their own right. This should be an awesome game to watch, up and down, great flow. This is a live 12 seed.
Afternoon/evening games to come. Leaving for Denver tonight, hope to be able to find time to post this weekend.

I think the line is pretty telling here. Djokovic is going to drag Veesaar away from the rim, giving the Heels no rim protection, but also their best (healthy) rebounder won't be in position. The defense of VCU is for real, and the defense of the Heels is not. Life without Caleb Wilson sucks. Bogovac takes bad shots, fairly often, which is as bad as a turnover, and Trimble can't be the only offensive option, which he will be. Rams move on, Heels go home.
1* BYU/Texas Under 157.5
BYUs offense hasn't been the same since Saunders got hurt, and everyone but Dybantsa seems hesitant to shoot the ball, after all, they were never supposed to be relied on. But here they are, under the bright lights, and I don't think they respond. Texas doesn't play the up and down game that the Cougars prefer, and I think Sean Miller slows it down a little extra to make Dybantsa work on the defensive end, wearing him out.
1* Texas A&M Aggies +2.5
I think like TCU, the Aggies are just too physical at the end of the day for what St Marys has played against. The only comparable defense they've seen all year was maybe Boise St, and they lost that game. But if they lead late, its over, cause they don't miss from the foul line.
1* Penn/Illinois Over 151.5
Fran McCaffrey spent the last several years coaching against Brad Underwood and this Illini program. He is no stranger to what they like to do. The last time these coaches met, they played a game to 200. Now, Penn doesn't have the players that Fran had @ Iowa, but to ask them to get to 65 isn't asking too much. I think Illinois does whatever they want offensively, and probably scores 90+.
