Couple for Thursday:
BYU -2.5: Texas showed some major warts in staggering to the finish line against NC State, blowing a 9-point lead in the last 2 minutes before surviving on a buzzer-beater. It's a team that serious lacks a floor general. BYU has their own issues but they will have the 2 best players on the floor and I think AJ really goes off against a Texas team that really struggles defensively. Game is in Portland so neither team is close to home but the Cougars are a LOT closer. 0.75 units.
St. Mary's -3: Bennett has the formula and personnel to slow this down to the pace the Gaels like to play. The 'Bucky Ball' Aggies did a commendable job just to get here after losing key big man Mgbako just before Christmas but unless the three-balls are falling at a very high clip, I don't see them able to hang around for 40 against a big, disciplined and defensively sound St. Mary's team that rarely beats themselves. 0.75 units.
