The number has come down a point since opening at 7.5. Solo Ball is gonna be a little gimped up, and Yaxel has a MCL sprain but is supposed to try and go. Against Arizona, he only played 14 mins and the Wolverines didn't skip a beat. That was probably the most impressive performance I've seen all year, from an entire team. Cadeau couldn't hit anything, but impacted the game so much on the defensive end, and finding teammates. Mara is unstoppable. Tarris Reed is going to have to guard him or Johnson, and both are very capable of getting him into foul trouble. If that does happen, UCONN is toast. They won't be able to compete on the glass at all. I dislike Danny Hurley as a person, but he's a very good basketball coach, and the experience he and his guys have, of being here is so valuable, but in the end, this Michigan team is beating everyone by double digits. They've been the best team in the country for the entire season, and will put a bow on it this evening in convincing fashion.

FWIW my friends who provide me useful injury/practice news during football season tell me Yax is doing great with treatment and is probably closer to 100% than not. Bone bruise is the biggest issue, which imo is more easily managed than ligamentous issues. He’s very important in this game on the defensive end. They feel like it would be surprising if he can’t go a full game given how well he’s doing today. Obviously can tweak things mid game but encouraging for M nonetheless.
