You think Brad Stevens couldn't have won 2 titles with the RIDICULOUS amount of amazing talent that has gone through UConn over the years? Cmon now. Sure, credit to Calhoun for building that program, but you get the idea.
so coach K, dean smith, Roy williams, billy donovan, etc, etc, are all overrated because they had great talent?
did you know that butler was a great team before brad stevens got there? i love butler and this young coach but the main reason they made it to the final 4 the last 2 yrs is because the sport is way, way down since carolina's dominant 09 team, and the dominant teams before that
trust me, i've been watching this sport longer than you've been alive and these past 2 yrs it's more down than i've ever seen

Butler is up against a BEAST tonight. I would not be suprised if this game is over at half. The run UCONN is on right now is one of the most impressive runs I have ever seen in my life.

Of course they're not overrated, but you're telling me that Calhoun has the edge tonight cause he's got 2 titles. I said Brad Stevens has the ability as a coach to win 2 titles if he had similar talent.
Don't tell me that Hayward/Howard/Mack are the same as having Richard Hamilton, Emeka Okafor, Rudy Gay, etc.

this is one of the least talented UCONN teams of Calhoun's tenure at the school. trust me. outside of 6'1" Kemba, they're all either freshmen or unseasoned vets. Calhoun's 2 prior championship teams (99 and 04) would CRUSH this team, as would Calhoun's 2009 team that made it to the final 4 before losing to Mich St.
In the down yrs of 2010 and 2011, Hayward, Howard, Mack, are 3 of the best players in the country. I have NO DOUBT about that. this doesn't even include the strong recruiting classes that Stevens has had the last few yrs. last yr, John Wall was the star of college hoops in term of pro potential - this yr, the talent is so down they named the new star, Brandon Knight. ask ANY NBA GM or SCOUT - 2010 and 2011 = worst talent in the NBA draft in a long, long, long time
i would take Butler's experience + talent over UCONN's any day, which is why i am on Butler +4, but there's a reason they were an 8 seed and a reason they are the dogs tonight. UCONN has Calhoun, a proven winner, Kemba, a proven scorer and distributor, and young talent around him.
NO basketball COACH except LARRY BROWN as Philly HC has ever taken a team ANYWHERE without having talent
not even Brad Stevens

Well you're certainly right about the talent being down, and I definitely see where you're coming from. Like I said, in this tourney having the best player on the floor is a HUGE advantage, and UConn will have that tonight. I just don't see him dominating this tough Butler team tonight. You can't really say this is one of the least talented teams Calhoun has had; well, sure, it is, but having the best player in the tourney balances that out. One player has been enough for a huge advantage in a large majority of this tournament, but Butler will do to Kemba what UiF did to Jimmer: He'll get his points tonight, but he'll play stupid basketball and cost his team in doing so.

another insane statement. were the games vs SDSU, ZONA, and Kentucky, over at the half? of course not, they all came down to the wire which is likely what will happen tonight

SDSU, ZONA and Kentucky would all give Butler more than VCU. UCONN is a bad bad team with a K Perkins like chip on there shoulder. Wake up people this game is a mismatch.

And UConn has not faced a team as good as Butler all year. They haven't seen this sort of toughness, defense, heart, and team play out in the overrated Big East. I'll take that over one guard who is prone to chucking up bad shots.
sorry, but another foolish statement.

i'd have a chip on my shoulder too if i lost 14 gms last season and couldnt attend the ncaa tourney, not to mention have numerous allegations against my coach and his staff that are going to send my program to probation for 3 yrs or more!!

This is arguably one of Calhoun's greatest coaching jobs of his career. And Kemba doesn't just "chuck" up shots.
UConn played a team called Pitt this year twice. They are the same type of team as Butler and Pitt is more talented and plays better defense.
Butler is 54th in the country for offensive efficiency and 31st for defensive efficiency. UConn has played better teams this year. Thats not to say they will win this game or have it easy but most of the things you are saying are just flat out wrong.
Uconn played Pittsburgh twice? Oh yea, i remebr them..they are the team that Butler elimanated from the tournament.

He will embarrass himself against a stingy D and shoot his team straight out of the building and this tournament with brick after brick. I will eat my shoe if this chucker shoots over 40% tonight.
Butler ML is the play tonight
I love Butler also but what kinda shoes we talkin bout?
