nropp, If I am not mistaken, this is my first post on covers, but I am someone who waits to see what you think before making any play. I hate that people are bashing on you.. You are a class act man.. and I just want to let you know that for everyone one person hating on you, there are hundreds that look forward to what you have to say.  Your write ups are second to none.. people need to realize that you aren't paid to share your knowledge with us.. you do it to help us all out.

Bad days are going to happen people.. we've all been through them.. Ropp was scorching hot, and we all benefited from that.. if you jumped on board late and got hit hard today.. oh well, if you follow Ropp over the long run you will be seeing money!

Keep up the good work man.. shake today off.. your records speak for themselves. Just know that many look forward to reading your posts everyday.

You are 100% correct on money management.

Nropp is way ahead because he knows how to manage his money for the season, unlike the 90% following him.  That is why you hear people crying about losing  like this poor chum as he should leave that sad story to  himself!  But sadly they never learn as this has been going on for as long as covers has whenever a top handicapper has a losing day

Todays card just seems impossible to me by how many points he lost by on average. Sorry I know he is doing it for free and doing it to help people out, but wow, everygame lost by a ton seems kinda strange.

JackSmack, I really appreciate nropp and all he  has done for us. but I to wonder how a good if not the best college capper on this board is so far off all his games, it sure looks fishy. I know everyone has a bad day but this is hard to believe for someone so good. I will be honest I was one who loaded up on todays games figuring at least a split, no such luck. Thanks kropp for posting and will look for you tomorrow while I try and figure out today.

nothing against NROPP- could have been a bad day, could have not.  SEEN ALOT OF GUYS like this who are up SHIT LOADS of units- then they just seem to fall off.... Considering he's the only guy on wagerline who has over 1,000 VIEWS... it does make me question lol... Imagine all the emails the guys getting from ppl begging him to stop giving his picks. then the one day he goes ZERO - FOR we get no write ups.  last year i was follwing a guy UNCFOREVER who was just as good- up almost 50 units  then he lost it all in about a month-

I just don't know what to think.. I hope NROPP keeps writing his analysis so we can know why he picks these games- if not I just can't take somones bet who just puts their picks, especially when his writeups and picks have been so good.  If he just puts his picks, minus writeups I'd have to say something sketchy is up and fade him.  But not by any means am I putting it past that someone has seen how good he is and just paid him off...I've been telling my buddies for the last month that its sketch- you get 50 thousand views of winning picks. There is someone out there who would pay the kid some serious money to give him his picks only- and give the public the rest. Just odd everyone of his picks failed when hes  been hyping this day up for the last week... And not one play even came close...

The weirdest thing is that every game he put up- my book was off by about 2-3 points, sometimes even more. Just weird.

Just weird.

It is just one man's analysis - we all decide what to play on our own.
I just don't buy any of the conspiracy theories.
The casinos are making plenty of money either way.
Nropp1 just had a bad day.
I believe you're all being more than a bit paranoid.

obviously everyone has bad days- but like someone said- he gets paid nothing for giving his picks, with 50+ thousand views, there must be someone out there willing to pay him not to post his picks. it's just common sense. no one on wagerline is even close to the guy in amount of views he gets. he doesn't give a fuck about any of us... why do you think his plays are posted? he hopes someone sees how good he is- and he is trying to get big off it

how do you think all the guys on covers got big and got ppl to buy their picks? they started off doing what NROPP did.... -write great analysis- win tons of money- get shit loads of views....

wouldn't be surprised if covers gave him an offer to work for them  LOL. The kid has been UNREAL...   We'll all be able to tell if he continues to write his analysis- or just decides to say NO TIME and post his plays with no reasoning. Either way-

    Everyone, PLEASE READ THIS POST.

I started following Nropps write-ups and selections about 2 weeks ago, and come to the conclusion he has good insight in just aboutevery league, is very disciplined, and IMO, as genuine and a good person as youcan find on this forumor any other.

What should be obvious is that, no matter who it is whatever forum, sport, trend, system, etc. No one I mean NO ONE will hit more than 55% at the very best, period. If your lucky enough to even do that, it takes incredible discipline to not chase. Thats how books win, its a 50-50 proposition, with 10% juice. But they know when bettors win, like this whole week, you play tight. Then when u lose, can you continue to play as tight? No, you bet more, dabble in other games, double, triple your loss. The guy goes like 8-0 during the week, how can you not expect an occasional 0-5, 0-6. It will happen again. Neil is scarily familiar with all leagues he's like a terminator with detailed files of all teams, but even someone this good cannot beat 55%, or maybe not reach that in the whole season, its that hard. If everyone would get rich betting his games, do you think anyone would go to work? I have set my expectations to win a very modest amount of money, and stick to the units he gives, and then MAYBE I can eek out a profit. If you think thousands will flow by blindly following, its false hope. I new a day like this would come sooner or later, and was scared he was so hot, it ALWAYS balances out in the end to come back to 50-55%. If your 100%, youre gonna go 0%. If your 70% you will hit 30-35% to pull it back down, its just math people. Yes, I feel everyones pain, but its simple rules you have to adhere to.

The biggest thing I struggle with, is not playing for one day. Perfect example today, nropp posted plays, all games were moved against his line 1 to 5 points, which is ridiculous. Did i play every one of his picks at the adjusted lines? Yes, but played each game for much less than usual. Best capper hits 57% so far, each game he plays you have to sacrifice 1-5 points on top? Fuck that i said, and so should you. There's always tomorrow, hard 2c that when you bet and bet, but have to realize this. Im glad at the least I minimized my losses, try some discipline. Part of me said, play all games he's hot, then rationalized and said, each game so many points lost, just play small, and it works out better, weather the storm.

Bottom line, dont let the books make you your bitch. Make them your bitch, play lines you feel comfortable with, and realize that theres always another bus to catch.

On a personal note, cannot thank Nropp enough for doing all of this, he has no obligation or duty here, never asked or asks for anything in return, just dont expect one day miracles folks. Hope this helps.

Yesterday is in the past!! Let's move on today.

I'm thinking that cle st. -1 is a great play today considering the shellacking they took from butler this past week. Does that make any sense? Your thoughts pls.

Depends on how you look at Cleveland State. Do I think they're the better team in the end? Yes. But this isn't a spot I'll test. Coming into the year, the biggest dates on the schedule were against Butler. They got beaten pretty badly and now only have realistically a day to prepare for one of the better offensive teams in the conference. I commented on this five game stretch for CSU the other day. Three on the road, and then a few at home with some upper Horizons. This is the second game of the roady here. Valpo will try to stop Cole as they usually try to go all out against the opponents top scorer, rather than try to contain the rest. Both teams should put up some points. There is a weird dynamic going on in this conference. Valpo loses by 17 at Butler and then rebounds to win by 24. Butler loses by 24 to Wisky MKE, rebounds to win by 23. Could we see the same here? I'm not sure. I'd probably lean to Valpo, but that's just b/c of the situational spot.

I think you are spot on, but asking SIU to cover 6 is tough with their offense outside of Fay and they have held Fay in check his entire career. Both of these teams are about as familiar with each other in terms of personnel than any other two teams in the country. With SIU coming off an overtime game, and the ISU offense not really being a threat, I expect a projected total of 120, and I'd probably point to the under.

neil, side note just for conv...the fay kid is from my home town area...one of the few that went to decent sized college to play hoops. i saw him play in high school...awesome player.
i am leaning under also..im very dissapointed in my redbirds...oh how i wish we had the days of the cage again..seeing xavier mc danial flip the bird to the crowd and antoine carr push us around like little boys....man that whichita state team was tough...but we beat them in the cage that year.
    anyways...
redbirds wont do anything until they get a decent coach.

I don't like the game all together. If I had to choose, I'd go with SIU but I can't make any sense of it other than a fade on ISU.

As for the under, I would probably lean that way, but with the familiarity of the two schools, these kids might want to get up and down and get away from normal play. ISU Coach Jankovich has said all year that he wants to get out and run and he's doing a bit more of it lately, but the offense is awful. ISU has gone over against bad defenses in the conference, and they've gone under against the good ones.

Game wreaks, outside of the familiarity angle.
