At first glance, this does look like a viable angle.... BUT
I am reminded of an age-old rule of trend chasers "All trends end in END". And what this means that USUALLY when a trend becomes noticeable, the sharp angle is to fade the trend.
I'm going to ponder this all day now... but I'm thinking of going opposite of the trend. KU in first half, and UK in 2nd half
