Anyone have a bigger moose tale then this?

Back in 2008, NCAA Men's basketball game between #3 UCLA and #7 Stanford with UCLA -9. With 1 minute and 45 seconds remaining, Stanford was up by 10 points. UCLA somehow found a way to tie the game and send it to OT. They outscored Stanford by 10 points in OT to cover. Now in college, 9 points is lot to cover and with that little time left in regulation, 19 points should seem virtually impossible. UCLA did it and left all Stanford backers in shock. Stephen A. Smith even made a note of the spread on ESPN that night and called it the worst beat against a spread he has ever seen.

The Redskins game this past Monday comes in at a close second.

I had Stanford in college basketball about 15 years ago minus 12.5 and the under 145.5 .. Stanford was up 79-64 with a couple seconds left and got fouled. An 80 percent foul shooter missed both free throws and the player from Cal grabbed the rebound took a couple dribbles and heaved one from about 70 feet that banked in to lose by 12 and make it a total of 146. Oh and the shot came well after the clock hit 0.0 but  they still counted it.

Skins game was a single Hail Mary and a two point fail. Not worthy of mention against the OP

How about this one!  Braves-Mets playoffs I think in 2000.  I had OVER 7.5,  Game tied at 3 in extra innings.  Mets walk off GRAND SLAM!!   WINNER!!!!!!    Nope.  Player got tackled by team between 2nd and 3rd base and he never touched home plate and was credited with a single.   4-3 FINAL!!  OVER loser.  Brutal!

Not that it has anything to do with this but your post reminded me of my fantasy baseball team a few years back when I had Kendrys Morales as my catcher and he was having a heck of a year until he hit a walk-off homerun and hurt himself celebrating at home plate with his teammates. I think he messed up his knee celebrating. I lost him for the rest of the season and lost my playoff shot. Lol.

Since we're on the topic of UCLA. During Kevin Love's only season with them, they were winning by like 8 with like 5 seconds left, having to cover -9. Kevin Love gets the rebound under the opponents basket, launches it full court and the guy gets the layup near the buzzer.

That too. It was a meaningless basket that UCLA had no business making, but they did. I was fortunately on the right side of it that night.
